I received a package today with a small envelope asking me to donate my old cell phones for soldiers. They sell the old cell phones back to a company that recycles them. The charity uses the money from the old cell phones to buy calling cards for our soldiers. Isn't that great?
I just donated two phones. This is a great way to support your troops, especially with money being so tight for all of us. Please join me and donate those old cell phones for a great cause! Postage is free and you can print out your shipping label right off the site! However, you can help the charity by applying your own postage. If you pay for the postage, they will put more money toward calling cards for our troops! http://cellphonesforsoldiers.com/

It's another great opportunity to make a difference. Mine go to the local women's resource center, many of the women who receive them are running for their lives with literally nothing. There is a need for used cell phones in many places, operable or not, they have techs who can rebuild them but they need the parts!

I found a local drop off near my acupuncture doc and plan to drop off some on my way back on Monday! Thanks!
We give a lot of our best stuff (clothes, containers, pc games, movies etc) to our local thrift shop that supports a women's shelter, kids and all... but I was not sure they would take phones.... I never saw them there but I never asked... but I think the soldier thing is great!

I just got an order of books from Amazon and they included a prepaid, addressed envelope to send your old phone to cellphonesforsoldiers! Mine will be going in the mail tomorrow . I hope Amazon is putting them in with all of their orders. I'm sure many people would donate their old phones this way because it really is no-brainer way to help out.

Cell Phones for Soldiers is a great program! You can do the same thing but with printer cartridges. Send cartridges with free shipping to eCycle Group and they will send you money for your donation. Just search for eCycle Group in google.
