Default Come on up on the porch...come on don't be shy...

Well hello there, why you hidin behind that big ole tree? Come on up here and sit a spell, ain't a thang to be afeard of on this ole porch!! lol Why child this where all ya troubles jest float way on the wind.

Naw, it don't matter none bout what that ole doc says...here we just sit and enjoy the day!! Why look...see that hummin bird, jest look at how fast he can flap his lil ole wings!!! I bet he gets mighty tired flittin from place to place, and look at that big ole grasshopper, hoppin hopin he don't get et by a bird or meet a fast tongued frog. lol

Each creature on this earth has a burden to carry, each one has to carry his own, nobody can carry it for ya. How we carry those burdens depends on the person, some carry them with strength. Others need help from the people that love them to help them along. Ever noticed ants, now we could learn a lesson from those lil workers. They carry loads way bigger than them...and they manage to get it done!! Just a wonder to watch it is!

Yep, burdens ain't easy to carry, sometimes it seems more than a soul can manage is put upon them. I've often wondered how I come through some o them rough times, wondered how I made it through. It sho twert easy I do remember that much!! Sometimes, we need just a little bit more than friends, family or doctors. Sometimes we need a lil faith, if not in the good ole Lord, then maybe in ourselves. I think we ofter underestimate ourselves in the burdens we can endure.

We are strong, we are a unique group, we are unique as individuals, we are people with chronic illnesses...HEAR US ROAR!! That my sweet lil pumkin is what the porch is all about. We come here, just to swing all those burdens away...now, what you want fer breakfast this morning.

I got some nicely baked biscuits with bacon, I got pancakes, sweet rolls, you jest tell Momma what you want...

Aww Momma. Hanging out on your porch today sounds like a great idea. Woke up this morning with part of my body feeling weird. I don't know why. I'm concerned enough to re-plan my day but not concerned enough to go traipsin' off to some doc just yet.

I'll take a short stack of pancakes with a side of sweet rolls.

So true, Momma. Seems like some get more than their fair share of burdens. But....in troubled times my sweet Daddy used to repeat the "Footprints" poem. I love that poem and have turned to it many a time in the past few years. That one set of footprints has brought me through many a trial.

I sure do hope you've got some sweet tea with lemon in there, Momma. It's hot enough to fry an egg on the pavement here today. A good ole' mater sammich on white bread with lots of mayo and black pepper plus that sweet tea would sure hit the spot today. Just too hot to eat much of anything else.

Maybe later we can spread some newspapers on the porch and cut a cold watermelon. Yum!!
