Default You won't believe what I just did!!!

All of you who drive canoes and dig ditches and do all kinds of exciting stuff, well I am no where in your league. I often say "I've never done anything near what some of these people have done".

WELL!!!!! Today was the day!!

The guy around the corner was using a chain saw to cut down big branches on the tree in front of his house.

Everybody was watching him.

I said "wow, that looks interesting"

He said: "Want to give it a try??" I said "yeah, like you are going to hand me a chainsaw"

HE HANDED ME THE CHAINSAW.

I dropped my packages and went to town on one of the branches. Took me some time to cut through the branches BUT I DID IT!!!

It was SOOOOOO COOOL to use a chainsaw for the first time.

I laughed my head off.

I wonder what I'll do tomorrow!!!!!! lol

frankly, I'm terrified of chainsaws...

low vision, plus weak-as-a-kitten hands is part of it...

the rest is probably due to hearing of accidents when I lived in woodstove country (rural snowy Northern California) and developed an allergy to chainsaws.

oh, and that movie I saw as a teen, about some deranged person in Texas...

then again, I've never dug a ditch, or driven a canoe either...

but the IMPORTANT thing is, YOU did it, and you had FUN, and learned something new... for which I am proud of you, Melody.

you GO, girl !!

Awesome! What a great neighbor!

During college I worked for a tree pruner and learned to use a chainsaw, it really is fun!

I used to have a fantasy to learn to operate one of those humongous shovels. I wanted to dig a huge hole for some crazy reason. Now my coordination and weakness would make it impossible so I nominate you to go do it for me, Mel! Take your video camera!!!

Wow, that takes guts!! What ARE you going to do tomorrow? Climb a telephone pole? Without those spiked shoes, of course...

Just goes to show you that taking advantage of opportunities that arise helps your dreams come true!

I had to laugh at what Debbie said "without those spiked shoes"

I haven't worn heels since I was 18 years old. That's a looooooonnnnggg time ago.

Want to know what I always wanted to do (EVER SINCE I SAW THE MOVIE ALIEN 2)

Remember when Ripley fights the Mama Alien. She's straps herself into this BIG PAYLOADER LIFTER THING and she kicks butt with this thing.

I remember saying "wow, I could do that"!!!

Hey, if I could use a chainsaw, there's no stopping me now!!! lol
