Bobbi 07-24-2008 12:36 AM

Operative term: Bowl. Uh-huh, that's the hint de jour.

weegot5kiz 07-24-2008 12:36 AM

I use it to make round sugar cookies. Also for Parkerhouse rolls!

YOU WON FRANK!!!

It's the coolest thing, cause you just roll it forward and it cuts circle shapes!

Thanks everyone! Let's do it again sometime!

Curious 07-24-2008 12:38 AM

where the heck are the people who actually used the green handled utensils?

oh...alseep already.

Bobbi 07-24-2008 12:39 AM

Okay, so we know: It doesn't cut bone, it doesn't trim meat (human or animal), it doesn't knead, it is, however, "bowl" related.

Close was the topic of Perogies.

It's a noodle slicer.

Psssst, Bobbi: See Post #53.

Bobbi 07-24-2008 12:43 AM

KitchenAid, people: Make cookies with it. It's easier to recognize and less work :).

Bobbi 07-24-2008 12:46 AM

Just wondering: What era is it from?

Olive green? My guess: late 60s or 70s.

Bobbi, I'm not really sure. It's at least that old, I would suspect. Because there is no plastic (painted wooden handle), I wonder if it is even older.

JessieSue 07-24-2008 12:51 AM

Oh for pete's sake!!! By the time I got through reading everyone's posts and got to the end Frank guessed it!! Dang it!

Bobbi 07-24-2008 12:53 AM

Olive green, mustard yellow, and chocolate brown seemed to be popularized in design, and oh how things had to match, in the late 60s and 70s. The colors were the imprint and indicators of the "time." :D.

Baby blue, etc., were the tell-tale "markers" of other times, and William Sonoma, which I love, plays on those colors and connotations - or memories conjured that people associate with the familar.

Twinkletoes 07-24-2008 12:53 AM

I got a couple more things I need to take a pic of, then we'll do it again another night. Sorry, Jess!

Bobbi 07-24-2008 12:58 AM

Maybe give warning beforehand :). Some of us might need a slight advantage :D.

weegot5kiz 07-24-2008 01:47 AM
