Politics Health care cuts deep

I support universal health care. Other countries have plans, Canada; Germany; Denmark (the happiest place on earth); Australia; and others I cannot think of.

Why can't we in the USA?

This guy has MS, like me.

Wow, that's real nice of AZ...I'm sure they didn't cancel any of the state politicians' pensions or healthcare if they had it...

When I worked as a server a couple of years ago, one of my steady customers said to his wife, "Why do people think they deserve health care?" I thought to myself, "Buddy, you are one layoff away from finding out."

As much as I love my country, I am ashamed of the greed and lack of compassion that our gov't has for it's sick. I know that universal health care has it's problems, but at least we should be able to get our drugs for the same darn cheap prices that our neighbors to the north and south get them...
Maybe our country is going to be ruled by survival of the fittest...the rest of us can be pushed off on an ice floe...oh wait, they're all melting, aren't they?

amen.

medical issues now comprise the majority of bankruptcy causes in the US.

it's not the gov't per se, it's the intersection of *money* and power, coming from corporate lobbyists, who spend massively to convince congresscritters to vote against what the vast majority of Americans want.

Repeated national and state polls have shown that between 60 and 75% of Americans would like a universal health care system (see The Harris Poll #78, October 20, 2005)

did you know that Big Pharma has more lobbyists than there are members of Congress?

yep, corporate profits are job #1 for these greedy suckers...

Default universal health care

Private health care or universal health care?

IMHO - I support universal health care. Not just for me but for every man, woman and especially for children. Children did not ask to come into this world, the least we can do is give them health so that they may begin to succeed.

Thank you Cayo, your articles were very informative.

We have such a chance to try to equal other nations. All it takes is agreeing with me!
