in one day (stained glass class) .. I made an oval window hanging (on chain) ... and it only has 16 cut pieces ... when you start with stained glass - go for the larger projects .. cutting small pieces takes more time ...

remember you need to grind, foil, and soder ... this was a fun project!

It sounds like mine is like Vonn's. I was curious so I looked on the net & didn't find any kits the came with EVERYTHING you need but there are kits that come with precut glass. You cut the copper foil, put it on the edges then solder it.
There's also some pretty kits of clear glass that comes all put together. It comes with liquids that you just drop in place -- simple to do & pretty, since you don't know exactly how to make it with pieces & boy are those glass kits expensive. http://www.hobbyplace.com/glass_art/glass_art1.php/0

Shocked

When I was just little, maybe 5 or 6 years old, one of my Dad's sisters passed away. I do recall meeting her only once and I liked her a lot. Anyway, after she passed a trunk was sent to my house and put in the basement. I had no idea what was in it.

One day I was just playing around that old truck and of course I got curious and managed all the locks and got it open. Inside there were things I had never seen before and I'll tell you I WISH I had that trunk now.

She was an Artist and she had done a self portrait and it was magnificent. My mother had it hanging in our livingroom my entire childhood. I wanted it but it was passed on to my brother.

Inside the trunk were her art tools. Brushes, paints, sculpting tools books of sketches, all kinds of things like that. At the bottom of the trunk there was this big old box, I took it out and opened it. Inside were books and books and more books of Gold Leaf. I of course had to play with it. I manage to destroy everyone of them. I don't think my parents realized what they were and their value. When I think of the cost NOW of real camel brushes and how many there were in there, I choke. I think I own ONE tiny one now and that one was $30.

That just came to mind so I thought I'd share it.
