clouds, do you rent or buy movies?

ok...so i am going to admit to buying jakob the liar in vhs. i have never been able to get through the whole thing. maybe i'll try again.

we buy movies for the most part. rarely rent. some good bargains on the previously viewed ones.

what type of movies do you like? i can reccomend some.

the manchurian canditate with denzel washington.
hide and seek with robert deniro. kinda scary...predicatable ending
joshua with tony goldwyn and f. murray abraham. i love this movie. it's based on one of my favorie book sewries by joseph girzone.

oh...i really do have a worst of all time movie. at grandmonkeys request...we took him to see nacho libra with jack black. little stinker made us sit inthe front row! thank goodness it was at the dollar movies. torchure...pure torchure

I watched this documentary called the Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill. This guy who doesn't work and is almost homeless because he doesn't have a place that he pays rent for but kinda lives rent free in this cottage starts caring for these wild parrots in San Francisco.

I thought the movie was sweet and touching. The extras on the DVD showed that the director and him ended up romatically involved after the movie rapped up. Some local businesses give him free stuff sometimes. It was interesting just to see that someone who doesn't have a job can actually survive in our society.

But if you have any appreciation for animals it was a nice view into the parrots and how they survive the wilds of San Fransisco. These parrots do have predators beside humans; hawks, red-tailed hawks, are their main predator in San Francisco.

this movie was on recently on hbo. if you're not into spookers, I'd definitely pass. Christian Bale went on a starvation diet to make it. c-r-e-e-p-y emaciated. Great story line for those not faint of heart.

Orthomolecular,

The documentary you described does sound interesting :). Is the DVD something that is sold? rented? and any ideas on where to get it?

Thankx!
