Anyone heard from Tom? I know he's in Houston.

Looks like we will get like we did with Gustav. It's will hit TX, then come up into AR. We seriously do not need anymore rain.

Everyone Please Please stay safe.
Check in when you are able.

CRITICAL UPDATE:

Here are the suggestions for keeping safe after Ike according to FEMA and the Harris County E.O.C. (Mayor White, specifically) at this very moment:

(1) Boil any water to be consumed or use only bottled water.

(2) Conserve water and avoid using tap water since the city pumps are in bad shape and the water may be contaminated.

(3) Unless there is an absolute need for medical help, do not call 911. The system is being overrun by inappropriate requests.

(4) Help each other. Especially you neighbors.

(5) Stay off of the streets. The land-based public agency recon is in process.

Be safe please. There are 4,000 public service workers on the streets doing what they can to help.

Here is the FEMA assistance information that was just released:

(1) You have to register by phone [(800) 323-9603] or on-line for assistance. These are the only two methods being accepted.

(2) FEMA has for every family impacted a total of $28,800 to help.

(3) FEMA will also provide funds for medical assistance needs and transportation.

(4*) Biogen (MS Active Source) will help Avonex and Tysabri patients with assistance so that your medical needs are met without delay.
