I really feel their shouldnt be any bail out. When we get ourselves into a mess who bails us out? They should go down in flames if that is what will happen.

Sure it might hurt for a little while, and it might effect some that wont want to be hurt, but if they bail these greed mongers out everyone pays for a loooooong time to come.

When are we going to learn that we have the power to change these things. It is going to be very uncomfortable to change it. But what is the alternative? If we dont wake up soon, we will wish we would have in the very near future.

It is time for everyone to get together and tell these people how we all feel. Put some pressure on them to do what we want, or they will be voted out.

Riverwild posted a petition on Victor H's thread if anyone is interested in saying no to the bail out.

O M G

Do not go look at your 'investment portfolios', the bailout was just voted down by the house and the market seems to be reflecting the decision.

Well, this will be interesting.

watching cnn right now. as it stands, the bill how it's written was voted down. it doesn't mean that it's a total no go. it needs some work and changes made, then it will be voted on again. atleast that is how they explained it.

what sucks is that ealier they were making predictions about how the housing market woud change for the better, loans ( for cars and such too) would be available at lower rates if this passed. there would be money available to loan people, not just banks loaning banks.

stock market is down over 500 points.

I know, I saw it was down 500 pts! I'm sure they need to rework it but in the meantime, I cringe at all of this. I just lost my last quarter of retirement earnings.

it's easy to panic at times like this.

I've had the ticker on all day, watching it going up and down. I watch about 30 stocks...

I saw it go down to below 700 and when the vote was locked 207 (needed 218 to pass) I knew it was not going to pass....

however, this is MY thought on this and also based on listening to some "experts" on CNBC, (OK OK, I know, me and three other guys in the whole planet watch CNBC, LOL)

There WILL be a bail out of some sorts, and it will drive the market back up. Will it make it stable? No...but there is a psychological bailout that the street needs...and no, the bailout plan won't be perfect...but the first step is to get it passed and then tweak it...

And yes, this WILL be a very volatile year...nothing is going to calm down until a few months after the election.

If you have a good financial advisor or your plan is one of a conservative one, just keep on holding..

the trick is not to panic When we panic, the Buzzards on the streets pick us clean.

SOMEBODY is making money in this market, and it is usually those BUZZARDS...

hold, conserve, and there WILL be some sort of bail out...that WILL happen. I am willing to bet weegot5kiz left test*cle on it...

*ps, I am not for the bailout, I just think it is needed right now...for the time being...have to change with the time and be like the water....

i think it does say something when people are buying treasury bills at and even trade. atleast they know they will get back all their money.

not panicing here, but we have already had a slow to our business. a trickle down effect from a larger company we do busienss with. if they can't get money, they don't have it to pay out.
