Default was hoping for some feedback

I would like to submit one of these I have posted but cant decide which one and thought maybe asking everyone here to help, just, I don't know, some unbiased opinions would be great, i am limited by only allowed to use ones up to 24 lines, and a lot of my really good ones are a lot longer than 24 lines, going to try and set this up as a poll, sorry this is so long, I not sure which one, I would really like to win this contest I am going to enter. thank you

1 "Good Feelings"
Wouldn't you like to fly away?
Even just to be free.
Wouldn't you like to sail away?
Come on and join me.
It's to this perfect spot,
Not far from a dream.
So come along with me,
To travel your road of destiny
Standing in the Bright sunshine,
Or even in the rain.
Glowing bright like the moonshine,
Come along and take my hand.
The road won't be too hard,
If you trust in me.
soaring to the heavens,
diving through the clouds.
sliding along rainbows,
And smiling out loud.
We sing silly songs through our eyes,
love me baby and make me high.

2 "Clouds"
I run and I hide behind every cloud
Always wanting to shout out loud
Why do I have to wait, wait so long
I know in your arms I do belong
Holding you every day and night
Making us feel free as if in flight
Touching, hugging, kissing your soul
Knowing that this love will never go
My heart feels so many things
Many times my love it truly sings
Songs of joy pain and sorrow
Yet, with this love I know it will be here tomorrow
So, with you and me hand in hand
Yes walking those beaches in that warm sand
Holding you tight next to my soul
Girl I hope you realize I can not let u go
Your love has touched me so deep and true
A love so strong that comes from you
It's what makes me smile and feel so good
This is how I feel I always felt it should
Once I found you hiding in the clouds
Knowing now why I needed to shout out loud
I want everyone to know of this love I found
As it touches my soul, I slowly touch the ground

3 "Waiting"
I sit here in the doctor's waiting room
My feelings and fears continue to bloom
I hope soon they find out what's wrong inside him
At every dead end my hopes become dim
It scares me to think I can do nothing for my child
But to hold him and hug him and merely smile
I want him to be well so he can enjoy a normal day
Then he comes and says
Dad I had another seizure, can you help me
Sometimes it hurts so much I just want to be free
Free from the pain and all the sorrow
Sometimes just wishing I don't have to deal with tomorrow
My child means so much to me so much to my heart
It is not fair that a young child has to have such a horrible start
To have to go through life feeling these pains
So he smiles says I'm OK and knows not his father is slowly going insane

4 "WHO ME A POET"
What is a poet
I wonder sometimes,
Some one good with
Words and rhymes.

There's others with words
That fill you with thought.
Such words of wisdom
That can never be bought.

I think of those
Who speak from the heart
With loving caring words
That give your soul a start

I wonder what a poet is
Just about all the time
It's now clear to see
It's all of them combined

So I think a poet is
One who knows
They have feelings they
Are not afraid to show
..........................
So if my thoughts
Are true
Anyone can be a poet
Including you

5 "Fear of A Life"

You lifted a heart so sad and depressed
You helped my soul, which was filled, with unrest
You made me feel new and alive
Realizing my heart had almost died
I dreamed big dreams for my life
Never thinking you wouldn't be the wife
I'm sorry I did this to you
But my feelings have always been true
It gets so hard sometimes with certain songs
Makes me think of things I'll always long
I know what I felt that first night
Someone above was telling us we are just right
So I thank you for the brief moment of love
I just wish you would listen to the voice above
I'll always want you by my side
Still never really understanding why you hide
I know I never understood what was fear
Until now with you not near
Of course I'm scared, I'm full of fright
I shall never know you the rest of my life.

I like them all Frank! In this order, but that was hard to do: 1, 4, 2, 3, 5.

Lightbulb they are all good...

but I like #3 and #5 the best.

Because they deal with the "harder" issues of life, I guess.
Things people don't commonly share or know how to share.
And that is large part of what poetry means to me, touching those deeper places.

Just my opinion...

Good luck...hope you win!

I voted for Clouds Frank - I really liked 5 too - you put your thoughts into words well - everything translates a tad different to everyone's heart

Frank,

they all are really good...

I think number 2 will probably not do as well when it comes to competitions.

I used to work for the school paper while I was in college and we would do poetry contests.

The poems that usually would get voted or chosen by the readers would usually be poems like number 5.

I like them all but do have a favorite. But I will keep that to myself and suggest number 5 also for this competition...

however, here's some reverse thinking...

if most people submit poetries like number 5, then, perhaps number 1 and 2 WOULD stand out....

hmmmmmmmmmmmmm...looks like I was of no help at all

submit them all? LOLOLOL just kidding

great job!
