no time to read thru...wow...new thread and 13 pages....:eek:

getting kids and I ready for church....might have to bring kleenex..hehe...as the priest here in town will probably mention Madeline...when he sees us home...

although, my mom last night said she wasnt sure she could do it..hear our priest talk of Madeline after all of it....and my dad just called and said she isnt going..she is aching all over........it must be hard....

The funeral was lovely..the place was great...such nice pics stuff made...just like that website....wow...

Although, It was tough....my leg kept going weak..or numb like...so occasionally I had a limp...new to me..new to others..as many were wondering what is up with me.....if I was dxed and knew haha

My hubby was asked to be a pall bearer..sp? and my sisters and I were asked to bring up the gifts. Anyhow...beautiful service for a wonderful lady....the night of wake...at one point the welcomed ppl to come up and speak of a memory....guess what I BRAVED IT...and spoke of Maddies birth....and the peace I felt with Madeline..there.....only one to speak that night ...at mass there were three speakers up for sharing....and what touching stories..

see Madeline was involved in Gymnastics judging state finals even in MI....so that group lvoed her....she had kept all the college buddies together year after year for a get together each year. She was very involved at the University she teached at....so many touched.

My bro in law....is a bit lost I think..but he has strong faith...so i know he will manage....but to think of just being about 50....the three kids grown enough to be out on own...and losing the wifey of so many years....

well sorry if tearing anyone up..hugsssss, sarah (home and ok)

Sarah, :hug::hug: Thanks for sharing.

Frank, LOL. Love those smiley's Take care of yourself.

~~~~~~~
Morning all! Sitting here sipping my coffee and planning my day. Trying to figure out what absolutely needs done today. Feeling a little wiped out, but trucking on.
LOL, the ever moving wall of endurance. :Bang-Head: Hopefully starting a regular bedtime starting tonight will help. Plus I'm looking into yoga for exercise since my neuro gave me the ok to try it. He agreed when I talked to him about what happened with the water aerobics that it was more harm than help. Crossing fingers that this helps. :)
Hope everyone has a good day. :grouphug:
Sarah, thanks for letting us know you got home safely. I'm sorry you had to make the trip under the circumstances but glad it was a beautiful memorial.
Ya'll are not going to believe what we're (or I should say Kevin is) doing this morning. He has the step ladder and the Oreck hand held and is cleaning all the high corners and crevaces (we have vaulted ceilings), the ceiling fans and the tops of the kitchen cabinets!! He also cleaned the vents in the hallway!! There was dust everywhere so maybe we'll breathe better after it's all gone! I didn't even ask him to do it....he just got up this morning and started it himself. Hmmm....maybe I should pay better attention to my house cleaning skills.....:o. He knows I can't do that kind of stuff....and I appreciate it so much.
Nothing much to do today...I'm still really dizzy. I see the Neuro tomorrow so we'll see what he says.
Have a good Sunday!! :grouphug:
Hey Sarah ... glad to hear that you're home ... everything is such a whirlwind right now .. take time to heal ...
Good morning everyone. Ugh, the morning started out not so good. My oldest son decided to drink at the college football game and was the talk of the campus. He accidently went into the women's bathroom instead of the man's and everyone thought it was funny. We didn't at all. He could have been arrested for public intoxication and ruined his career as a future teacher. He was ripped into this morning and was demanding to know who told us. I never told him who it was but lectured him on drinking and getting stupid was not acceptable at all. We ended on a good note but he knows I wont tolerate it. He's a senior and I know he wants to get his last hoorah out as a senior but taking risks that could lose him his career is not acting like a mature man. Gosh, we still have to lecture no matter how old they get. :rolleyes:
Anyway, I am heading out to clean up the garden in a bit while Jim watches the game. GO BEARS! Frank, they are better than everyone thought so who knows? lol
Sarah, thanks for sharing with us. :hug:
Kelly, tell those boys we think they are awesome for helping you so much. :D
Everyone have a great day and stay cool. It's going to be hot today here and the humidity is already seeping in. Our bedroom is the hottest area in the house and we've never figured out why except it is exposed to the full sun more.
:grouphug: to all those who I missed and all those who need it today.
Hope everyone had a good day today. :grouphug:
Sitting here waiting for dinner to finish cooking. Just some good old fashioned baked chicken covered with cream of mushroom soup and french onion soup mix.
Other than that, it's been a pretty quiet day. Making plans and dreams, and hoping all goes well. Hubby's still a little under the weather and napping on the couch again.
:hug: to all. :)
Kell, that's awesome about your helpful son!
I just loved it when my sons did something thoughtful.
San, I get it about your son... mine jeopardized more than his career when he did something stupid like that as a high school senior... he's lucky he lived to tell about it....................
he learned his lesson though, after I grounded him until he turned 18.
good raising will tell, in the end.
he now teaches children rock-climbing at a summer camp, and skiing during winter, with his degree in Child Psych and an education minor.
I just hate it when they're more worried about who narcked them out, than how inappropriate their behaviour was... <sigh>
Sarah, glad you got back home safely. :hug:
Jenn, you got that recipe handy? that's what I want, right now, some soothing comfort food...
Vonny, hope the interview-thingie goes well!
Frank, don't worry about being your regular chatty self, we understand there's lots to do, and lots of sharing-time needed with your son... how's he doing by the way?
*goes to the freezer for another bit of medicinal chocolatty goodness*
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh............................ ...
gotta stop those leg cramps, ya know?
:D:):D
I finished the back yard!!!!! I cut back the whole garden, moved some plants, separated some hostas and hauled the greenery to my neighbors house. I then planted 100 bulbs around my deck. I am completely wiped but I am almost done. I still have to trim a few bushes and pull a few more weeds but the largest project is done. My mom didn't understand why we do this so early. lol Silly mom.
I am off to call Tammy and then make some soup, Campbells Chicken Noodle. I have never stopped liking that soup! MmmmmmGood!
