It's cold here this morning!! 36 degrees and only gonna get to about 51 today!! Yea!! I love it!!

We got the names of three additional senior citizens to sponsor for Christmas this year. One lady and two men. Their lists are short and include basic necessity items (one man asked for warm socks and the other asked for a pair of shoes)...nothing extravagant. We're going to do this project this year instead of buying for each other. We're all excited and will probably continue to do this each year from now on.

I need to do laundry today and make some spaghetti sauce and chili to freeze.

Everyone have a good day. Those who are feeling puny I hope you feel better. :grouphug:

I have to go this afternoon for the rest of the neuropsych testing. Yippee! Sounds like fun. I've had so much fun lately with the balance testing and the neuro-opth. I am being totally sarcastic, of course.

I never posted anywhere about the neuro-opth, so I guess I will now:

I spent about 4 - 5 hours there last Thursday. The optic nerves are good. Occular motor tests not as good. She said I was interesting. Have I said before how much I hate being "interesting"??

I have occular dysmetria as well as dysmetria in general with other motor tests. I have torsional nystagmus when looking right and a back and forth nystagmus when looking left. I also have a convergence insufficiency which explains my problems with reading when my up close vision is technically quite fine. She said that was a neuromuscular control problem.

She said it all fits with me having MS. That is when I explained that my neuro doesn't really know if I have MS or not and that he calls it atypical MS or CNS demyelinating disease. She said she could just call it demyelination then, but that she sees all of this with MS. She said it seems like they have ruled out almost everything else that would cause these issues.

She reviewed my MRI's with me and she agreed that my newest MRI is much improved over the one a couple years ago. She showed me one big lesion that is completely gone and others that have faded. She really went over the cerebellum looking for damage because of the dysmetria and she said that just because we can't see the lesion doesn't mean it isn't there. She was pretty certain there is something going on in the cerebellum.

She said that she would highly recommend that I go forward with the IVSM treatment the neuro rx'd because that would be my best hope for resolving most of this.

She also said the Baclofen I've been on for the last few years for spasticity helps to dampen the eye sx and also that the Klonipin will help, too. She also wants me to pick up a pair of the lightest readers and come back in for her to put some prisms on them to help with the convergence so that I can stand to read again.

Thanks Everyone! She has to do 2 weeks of Antibiotics to clear up a kidney infection and then we will schedule the surgery. I took this picture of her a couple weeks ago when I was taking the pictures of the fall leaves. Since then it has grown about another inch.

Jenn - good luch with the show, that is so exciting!!!

Renee - sorry you are still dealing with that crap but Kay is right I hope you are resting?

Deb & Frank - I am so glad you had such a great day, you both needed it! I agree Deb - DD is the only way to go!!!

Sox - have a good week with the kids! You sound like you will busy!

Sarah - party sounds like fun, DD worked at Wendys and they never did anything for the crew - high five to you for making it fun for them when you can. I am glad she isn't there any longer.

I know I have forgotten people.... sorry!

It is raining again today, I went and took some pictures of the Red Maple tree that is finally turning orange but I don't think they came out, I will post them in my profile.

Have a great day everyone!

Morning Friends! Wow, took me a while to catch up reading, but I did it.

Jenn~ You got it girl; will keep you in my prayers.

Char~ sorry about your poochie, hope the surgery goes ok.

Franko~ knock it off and get better, but your afternoon w/Deb sounded wonderful and I could look at those beautiful Fall pics you posted forever. They are magnificent.

I love catching up on everyone, so if I haven't responded, you know that I love hearing about your day.

I am still wiped out from the past week and my neck is so sore, I can't move it. I think I'll blame AMN and the casino for that. :D

Hey, does DD coffee come in half decaf/half reg? I know, dumb question. :p

Have a good day everyone and Nae~~Please try to squeeze some time in for you. You are going full force girl.

We haven't had any snow flakes here and that's the way I like it. The news just said that we will have 70's by Thurs. woohoo! :D

Sounds like cold and flu season has found our little cyber group. Healing vibes to those who are fighting one of them. I'll keep a few of those vibes for my house. I seem to have a bit of a cold and DS has something too. Joy, joy.

I need to take a break from the computer. I don't know how long I will be gone. A lot depends on how disciplined I can be. I will lurk a bit in an attempt to keep the shred of sanity I still have and somewhat keep up with everyone here. Things on the marriage front are no better or worse than they were a week ago. That is both good and not. I'm dragging my feet with some things and need to stop that so I can move on. That is part of my plan for the next week or so. Anyway I didn't want anyone to worry. If something major happens I'll post otherwise give me about two weeks before sending out a search party.

Extra prayers, good thoughts, and warm hugs while I'm gone will be greatly appreciated.:hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug: Many hugs to all of you.

Good morning everyone! I just finished getting ready for my last class so I tried to catch up on all of your posts. It is chilly (mid 40s) but sunny here. We are discussing child custody and the law today in class.

We seem to be having some type if intestinal virus going on here. I hope I can avoid it.

Renee -- Hope you get over your cold soon.

Frank and Deb -- Your afternoon out sounds like fun. I don't think I could have passed up the candy and the Mexiacn restaurant.

Kelly, Spaghetti sauce sound good. Do you make a meat sauce or meatballs? I use lots of mushrooms in mine.

Well, I have to go. Hope everyone is having a good day. I'll check back in tonight.
