beth,

thank you so much for the reminder...

life IS good...

it is so easy to forget about how good life is...especially when the darkness blinds one's eyes....

when the chemicals in the brain start to play tricks and make one see nothing but darkness

one can forget how good life can be...

yes, economy is bad:

but, we have food on the table. 3 squares with some chips in the cupboard and ice cream in the freezer...

disagreements are bad:

yet, it only takes one look into the eyes of the innocent beautiful child to make us forget the bad that had shrouded us...

sometimes it takes only a smile across the room to light up another face and then the domino effect happens and next thing you know, the whole room is lit up with smiles....

the little things, watching the sunset, watching the moon rise, seeing Venus and Mars in the night sky....

a little tree frog that accidentally landed at your feet, a gecko sitting on your car...

squirrels trying to steal bird seeds and hummers sipping from the impatients...

when a little hand reaches out to you because you know he/she trusts you...

when a loved one reaches out their hand to you for comfort because they count on you to lean on....

yes, life IS good....

when we see our loved ones pass and are not in pain anymore....when we see a new born crying in their mother's arms....

when we see new kittens suckling on their mother or puppies trying to run for the first time and trip and fell....

yes, life IS good....

when one comes to this place (NT) and find ones inbox filled with message of concerned friends...when one feels lost and outraged, yet knowing that this is a safe place to come to vent and feel safe in....

yes, life IS good....

when a cat lies there blissfully, soaking up sunshine and looks at you without a care in the world...when you sit and sip on a glass of iced tea and the warmth of your pets snuggle against you....

yes, life IS good...

the simple things....when da wife turns to me and smile....

and it warms me from head to toe....

the darkness will have lifted and remind me yet once again,

LIFE, is good....
