Be careful, they are a hoax. There are threads on the PN board about them. The ones where they put their feet in a bath do nothing. The local TV show here tested the water afterwards and there was nothing there. Those ladies taking advantage of the seniors need to be stopped.

So I googled detox foot scams and this is what I found LOL

http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/thread17620.html

They had those pads on that new show called The Drs last week and they even said they were a hoax. Plus they mentioned that they have lead in them and that can get absorbed into your body.

http://www.thedoctorstv.com/main/show_page/43

It was on this episode that they showed the pads...Sue

I don't know about the detoxing part - the water can change color just because of what is already in the water {city tap water?? =chlorine, etc}

I also don't know of any simple way to tell if the Ionic part really works..{POS/NEG ions}

I tried one once for free and I don't know if there was any change or not.. nothing noticeable.
Even the websites I checked mentioned that the water color change doesn't indicate anything really.
That part is a gimmick to get you to think something is happening.
They should save their money.
They could buy their own machine on line for 100.00 bucks or so if they want to.

Thumbs down

I have seen many reports re them being an expensive scam

Epsom Salts footbaths are cheap and also detox, plus have other benefits. My son uses them for help with Tourette tics and I use them for arthritis. 1 cup epsom salts (magnesium sulfate) in a basin or footspa of warm water and oooooooooh the relief

The mind is a wonderful thing.

if you use these things and your mind says 'this will work, this will work, I will feel better", YOU WILL PROBABLY FEEL BETTER, because your mind will release endorphins AND THEY MAKE YOU FEEL BETTER.

But actually, the epsom salts (lovely magnesium in there) will do you a whole world of good and it's MUCH CHEAPER.

So stick your feet in a basin of water with a cup of epsom salts and say "I will feel better, I will feel better, the magnesium is going into my body, into my muscles "oohh the relief".

You better believe YOU WILL FEEL BETTER!!

I do this all the time. The magnesium really helps the body.
