Thumbs up Lil'Monkey and her school's Angel Tree concept

I am so so proud of these kids.

They have always had an Angel Tree at her school. They buy for other teens.

This year they came up with the idea instead of the usual Angel Tree, to buy a school yearbook to give. The kids will be given a gift card for the yearbook.

Most of the teens who are on the Angel Tree list are the ones who have never been able to afford the $35 for the yearbook. A book of memories. A fun time at the end of the year having all of your friends write those special silly notes in your yearbook. Something they can keep forever.

Lil'Monkey works part time for minimum wage. She paid for 2 Angels this morning.

She will be thrilled Yabbit!

Lil'Monkey has a friend who was on the Angel Tree last year and will be again this year. That is where this idea came from. Lil'Monkey saw how hurt she was when the yearbooks got passed out last year.

Teens so often are the last Angels left on the tree's at the mall. I guess for some it more fun to buy the toys for the little kids.

Cool! I will tell her tonight when she calls to check in!

DD is involved in so many clubs at school - Key club always sponsors a tree also at Christmas. I can't wait to tell her. She is doing a fundraiser this weekend for Unicef that she is excited about - she is going to be a "homeless" person raising money tomorrow - they have so many things plans. Teens come up with great ideas to raise money!

{{{MamaMonkey}}} and {{{Lil'Monkey}}} for caring about other people..

Chemar-was tempted to quote your post, because,I think MamaMonkey is one of the most caring people..But,came up with my own post instead.
