for xmas cookies. Im hoping I will feel up to it this year. The kids

LOL!!! Thank you for the laugh, Nae~~ I really needed one.

lor: I rubber stamp also and find it so relaxing. I make greeting cards and to save money on costly gift bags, I buy plain white gift bags in the craft section and rubber stamp/embellish them for the occasion. (so much cheaper and everyone seems to really like that I made them)

I also have made the tie/knotted blankets. My DD and MIL love theirs. So easy and such a cool gift to give/get.

You betcha Sandy! IT's easy and Walmart even has precut material in pkgs for the front and back of the blanket. (usually a fleece type material w/a pattern on one side and solid on the other.

I just take a ruler and make cuts about 4 inches long through both materials a couple of inches apart from each other. Then, take one strip and tie it into a knot w/the next strip of material. They turn out real cute.

Sandy - I have a couple of knotted fleece blankets ... and the fun part is that wally world sells them 'by the panel' ... I have 2 lighthouse ones - oh, go figure!!

and they ARE fun to make!

I'm not much for candy making .. but I LOVE choco-covered PRETZELS ... and it has to be easy to make!!

oh boo, Sandy ....

but, if you are interested in panels (one picture) and the back using plain (solid) color fleece ... it would be best to find online - then you can see the whole panel instead of on a bolt ...

I order from Hancock Fabrics online - they have the best fleece prices (yep, I compared)

OK..... all you clever people with home made Christmas cards and gift bags.....we want photos!! *stamping feet*.... and destructions please!

Also how to make those nice blankets... with photos of course. They would be handy for us less talented *want-to-be-crafters*

I think I'll decorate Christmas cakes this year for gifts. I'll either make the cakes myself, depending on what the fruit costs this year... or buy the cakes from one of the charity organizations.... lace them with alcohol, and decorate those.

I'll have to check and see what works out to cost the least.

hey there, Mizz Koala ...

if I take pics of the ho-made bags ... it'll give away my secret ..

I'll work on some mice (felt and candy canes), snowmen (out of tongue depressers) .. and bags ...

I have no problem making a **personal** visit to help you make a fleece tied-blanket ...
