I wish I could but for some reason a few of my sisters made them last year for Christmas gifts. I think they were one of the recipients last year. Dang it all!

Actually, I talked with DDs yesterday and since my girls love to tie dye we are going to tie dye some pjs or t-shirts for the kids using their favorite colors. It is not that expensive and will be fun to do. We'll buy the t-shirts/bottoms at Target. The tie dye kits are something like $10 at Michaels.

Another great very, very inexpensive gift is salt dough ornaments. We have done these in the past and have "embellished" them in many ways - paint, beads, ribbon, etc. We have also used the salt dough to make animal finger puppets and a mouse "paper doll" with clothes for my sisters kids. They loved them and out of all their gifts they played with these the most.

I'll have to get my recipe out. I think it is a ratio of 1:1:1 (1 cup flour, 1 cup salt, and 1 cup water). If you heat the water and dissolve the salt it makes a smoother dough.

One year, my SIL made pillows for my kids - Power Rangers, back when they were all the rage.

They loved them. Another thing they loved was goofy things to hang on their doorknobs (like do not disturb, only kid style).

My 8 yr old neice is big on kid crafts, and I just got her a bunch of jewelry beading stuff for her BDay. She loveloveloves it. And it was a ton of stuff for under $10. Her grandma made a doll sized quilt for her doll which was a big hit with all the little girls at her party.

I'm going to crochet a baby doll pillow and blanket for my granddaughter's dolls.

A mini diaper bag would be cool too.
