Tricia, my Mom used to make Rum Balls, too. My Dad had a Christmas "office party" at our house every year and there were probably 25-30 people there. I used to love it 'cos everyone brought their kids and we'd all go downstairs to the basement/family room and watch TV, listen to the radio and play pool (we thought we were so cool playing pool......we were all about 12-13 years old). One of us would always sneak upstairs and take some rum balls and bring them back....none of us liked them but we thought we were so grown up eating them. :o

Aw you guys/ gals. Thanks for all the good wishes. You are the very bestest. :D :heartthrob:

Slight change of plans today. I got a phone call just before I stepped in the shower. My possible future boss asked if I could be there at 1:30 instead of 1. No problem! Turns out the board president is going to be late getting to the meeting and doesn't want to miss meeting me. :D I'm delighted and scared crudless all at the same time.

Will let you know what happens after I recover. I do have some business of my own to do after the interview.

Weave, sounds like you may just have that job. Now, put a smile on, shoulders back, and go get that job!

hey all..

my eye apt went well not much change in script...was worried for a bit..as when they did the visual fields testing..as they did last year...right after they decided to take pics of my optic nerves....but then said they were looking good..and we can do the pics and fields every other year...I think maybe I didnt do well with right eye again on the visual fields...so they took the pics...think they worry about glaucoma...

Now on way to have my first mammogram...what joy...any tips..all...is it easy...painfree...hehe....

hugss all,sarah

Oh did I tell you I ended up working yesterday...5pm-11pm...ugggggg day off and trying to recover this cold...ugggg

SandyC 12-11-2008 12:43 PM

Sarah, take Ibuprofin before you go. That always helped me after. I can't help you with pain. They say the bigger you are the harder it is but those people don't have small boobies like me that they have to stretch on the plate. :yikes:

I so read both things wrong. I read Sarah's post all the way through but forgot about the mammo. Then I read Sandy's post and thought what does boobies stretched on a plate have to do with visual fields and optic nerves. LOL Of course, being yanked pulled and smashed in the vise with little boobies could cause visual changes. :D:D Had to go back to Sarah's post and re-read. LMAO!

Sarah - Deep breathing, take an ibuprofen like Sandy, and relax.

Weave - Yeah!!!! I hope all goes well this afternoon. At this point it sounds promising.

sabimax 12-11-2008 01:11 PM

I now wonder..I wasnt nervous..but you guys telling me deep breathing..lol...not too small though..so I wont have to lay out on the table hehehehe...shucks I dont have any ibuprophen at the house..we ran out of that and tylenol the other day..uggg hehe

I will be ok....I did do childbirth a natural five times....:eek:now that was pain...

haha optic nerve damage from mammograms..new idea..hehehe

hugss and thanks you guys, sarah (who even though just showered, feels stincky..as they say not to use deoderants powders or lotions at all in area before mammo....)

weegot5kiz 12-11-2008 01:13 PM

well first off boobies being any where for me might get my optic nerves working :yikes:

Weave like Sandy said stand proud, and get that job, you can be scared afterwards, not now, be confident and give solid answers take a second or two before answering, and think over your answer. I know you can do it:hug:

SandyC 12-11-2008 01:14 PM

LOL Sometimes I think my no meds childbirth was easier! lol

Just kidding, really. It's not so bad. You'll be fine.
