Just had some thai chicken soup and crab ragoons for dinner.

Yum! I had 8 students missing from my class today. And it was the first day! Either they are being slugs and afraid to get cold or they have a stomach bug. It seems to be making the rounds very quickly here. A friend that I had dinner with on Saturday was hit with it late last night. I am hoping I can avoid it.

Debbie D, I hate for you to get disillusioned so quickly. I still have hope. But it is going to take time! A number of those Clinton appointees did a good job. I would hate to be in Obama's shoes right now. Things are such a mess, and we are not going see major improvement over night. I am also a fan of Hilary. She is smart and tough. But I think my comments belong in the groups forum. So if someone wants to delete it, that is ok with me.

Okay, I am going to go huddle under my blanket. I am freezing, and I will admit that if we get 5 inches of snow down here, everything closes. You Northern Illinoisians are so tough!

Hey all,
Just home. Wow, long drive there, hour drive but took a while...snow covered roads, wind blowing snow!! We made it though.

Surgery, although delayed, as we got there 930am, he went in well we thought in at 1045am... we went to waiting area... and didnt hear anything...it got to 2pm...ugggg well finally we were just about to check with the lady that sits there taking the calls... and the surgeon came down to talk with us.

They actually removed the colon area with spot, laproscopically sp?? anyhow, all went well, liver looked good, and the pathology testing results we should hear on Thursday!!

He then was in recovery for another hour and half, we headed out to eat durign that time. Then when we got to room they mentioned he wasnt there yet...ER was busy I guess. As also, he was sent to 8th floor...Neuro and Ortho and pediatric floor. hmmm should have checked myself in for neuro...haha

anyhow, when he did arrive he was doing well, and making a few cutie comments about the good looking woman in corner of room (my mom)

He said he never hurt so much as he did when first out.

I will be going with my mom tomorrow to visit him, for few hours. Hour away, so we will stay for a while.
