Frank, thanks for checking on Sandy and Jim for us.

Barb and Trish, some of the exercises I haven't done yet. Especially the ones that ask you to stand on only one foot. Too wobbly to do them (insert plopping noise here ), but there's some other ones that are cool to do. My balance has improved a little too.

hiya, everybody!

good morning, Kelly, Sarah, Barb, Sandy, Soxie, Weave, Deb, Debbie, Finny, Trish, Sue, Pearlie, Tara, and Frankie-me-boyo!

just now setting down at the computer, to catch up with your daily lives...

went to the dawn wholesale market, and got a GREAT haul...

bulk cabbage (100 lb sack) was going for US 25 cents a lb, so I grabbed a whole sack.

and I got 30 lbs of lettuce, at 50 cents a lb.

half-a-dozen BIG bunches of callalou for 50 cents each, 2 dozen buns of celery, and a 50 lb sack of carrots.

got there so early I got my stuff right off the farmers' trucks, made them very happy, because they didn't have to clean or display it all.

I also got to clean up after their early customers, scoring five 50 lb sacks of leaf trimmings. (YAY !!! )

then, went home, did two hours of sorting and bagging, and filling our fridge, and the WHOLE guesthouse fridge too (glad we have no guests at the moment, lol!)

everything's all cleaned and put away, and hubby's busy processing two ducks for a special restaurant order (they just love having organic free-range ducks to put on their menu.)

so, we haven't even had BREAKFAST yet, just two cups of coffee each.

but all the CRITTERS are fed, and VERY happy... my geese and ducks and chickens just LOVE me when I return from market morning... hee hee hee!

we have collected FIVE goose eggs so far, (3 from Gwyn, and 2 from Larissa), and people are LINING up to request goslings, we have had half-a-dozen inquiries already.

I keep telling myself, "Don't count your goosies BEFORE they hatch!"

but I can't help getting excited, as they sell for US $35 each, so we're very hopeful.

the six new guinea pig babies are doing VERY well, healthy, and hopping around, and the 13 turkey babies are chipper and bright-eyed.

we have had several days of rain in a row, and last night was the straw that broke the camel's back in the mango orchard, as soaked HEAVY dead limbs came CRASHING down during the night all over.

these trees are mature, over 50 feet tall, so the view is a little different this morning... with massive branches and twig litter everywhere.

also, the pond is full and overflowing, and the rain gauge shows we got 5 inches of rain last night.

thus, life goes on, in the rainforest.

Fin - That's fantastic! Just think how much more your balance will improve with doing the Wii Fit a little every day!

Kay - I seriously need to rest/nap after reading your post. Really, you are so amazing!

I'm sitting here back on eternal hold with the financial aid office. UHG! Wish I had a speaker phone. The other day I was on hold for 45 minutes and then just hung up.

Ah! Sing it my I- hate- shopping- for- pants sisters! My waist and hips are two different pant sizes and I'm vertically challenged. And who is the idiot who decided the waist band belongs on the hips! I refuse to wear that style! Way too uncomfortable. Major muffin top too. Ick! I don't like all elastic waistbands either. I'm resigned to making my own. Ugh. I have a nice pattern and lots of fabric. They zip and button closed. I'm not looking forward to the button holes but my grandmother's buttonhole attachment makes them bearable. What scares the daylights out of me is the front fly zipper. I can't seem to put in a decent back- of- the- dress zipper. Front fly zippers terrify me and I can't do anything to hide them. I can throw a jacket or shawl over an ugly dress zipper but I don't want anything extra on my already wide hips. Long sleeve tops of any kind like to drowned my hands too, but that is another gripe.

My oh my, I go away for one day and you guys are checking up on me? LOL Just kidding, love ya all. We are Ok. I had to get the car checked yesterday and it's the computer module that's gone bad. I have to take it back in next week. I just want to say it was -25 degrees when I left the house yesterday with a windchill of -41. Rochelle, which is about 40 mintues west of me was -39 and who only knows what the windchill was.

Here's a cool experiment Jim and I saw on the news today. Boil a cup of water in the microwave or on the stove. Toss it up in the air (outside and away from you) and watch. You will have made snow! We did it twice today and it is pretty cool. Of course this will only work for those of us in the artic cold. Oh and guess who was in the 30's today? ALASKA. Whuh?

Today, this morning I opted to not sign in so I could get things done. Plus, Jim and I like having the mornings to each other and I feel I may have been neglecting him a little when I am typing so much. Bless his heart. Anyway, I got the living room closet cleaned out and the kitchen counters cleaned and one cabinet done. I carried out three kitchen garbage bags by the time I was finished! Nik came by after that and we visited.

We thought you might have gotten burried in a snowbank in your back yard.

Or went for a joy ride with the snowplow driver.

Haha! That snowplow driver would be me since I have the biggest snow blower in the neighborhood! Toro! Toro! Toro!
