thanks, Kell.

*picturing you in robe, slippers, and curlers*

welcome back, Wiz !!

sorry about the abrupt climate change, and the gnawed cables... but glad you had a good time.

Sarah, glad your daddy can eat now, liquid diet still counts, right?

hope his gout-knee gets to feeling better, and sorry you had to be the one to do that firing... that's NEVER fun.

Frank, you KNOW what I'm gonna say, so I'll just skip it.

Deb, keep on loving that boy of yours, he's a-gonna need it.

um, it isn't malaria season around these parts.

and I don't feel NEARLY carppy enough for this to be Dengue Fever.

in fact, no fever at all...

hate to whine, but it's *really* cold here, for someone acclimated to the tropics, living in a house made mostly of screens... the temp dropped into the 50s, for heaven's sakes !!

we've got all the shutters closed, and DH is baking a ham roast (leg of Kevin Bacon) to help warm things up.

sipping my 3rd cuppa hot tea (herbal red sorrel with honey)

by the way, NaeNae?

about an hour ago, I saw Lady Olivia's duking it out with another female duck over the right to use a certain nestbox...

she's definitely being opinionated about it, nipping the other duck on her head, wings, and back, trying to get her to leave...

just checked on them, and Olivia WON... she's curled up in there alone, preening and proud of her new digs.

Good Morning all! I'm sorry alot of you have been dealing with various bugs and viruses.

Wiz -- Welcome back! Hope you had a great time! Bad Kitties

Jenn -- Have a good trip!

Sandy -- Hope Jim is doing better today.

Frank -- I am just going to say hi to you. You know what we all are thinking Be good!

Kelly, Good Morning! I hope the scratchy throat is improving. I always like to drink ginger ale when I am sick. I guess that goes back to childhood.

Kay -- Sorry you woke up feeling lousy. Get better.

Sarah -- Hope that your dad gets to come home soon and that the cancer is not too advanced. I am sure that it is difficult to fire someone, just like it is hard for me to give someone an F. But remember they deserve it and it is not your fault. I have had students cry and tell me they are going to be kicked out of school. And at first I feel bad, but then I remind them and myself that they are not being kicked out because of my class; it is due to their lack of performance in several classes. I am sure you gave this employee warnings.

I went up to Champaign yesterday and bought bagels and books. I just had a cheese bagel and I am really enjoying one of the books -- "The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society".

Hope you all have a good day.

Dons face mask then hands out warm, healing hugs.

Well I thought I was going to run some errands yesterday but didn't get very far. My first stop was the drive thru window at the bank. My car window didn't roll down the whole way and then it didn't roll up at all. Went straight home and of course DH was gone. When he finally got back he tore my car door apart and figured out what the problem was. Things are put back together enough for safe and semi warm driving. He ordered the part and can fix it himself. My hero. But only for a moment.

Must go out for gas today as I'm taking the kids for a visit to my parent's house an hour away tomorrow. Other things on the to do list are calling me.

Have a warm and healthy one.

hey there .. had some 'internet' issues with Charter since yesterday ... now I'm back on track .. whew! have to submit the power point presentation by midnight tonight ..

that's okay, Frank ... I've received a few responses about it - need to make a tweak here or there ... on a happy note ... my quilts look 'ma-vu-lus' in the slides!

well, back to the grindstone ..

okay - here we go first ... called my lawyer (haven't heard from him for over 2 months) .. called on tuesday - he called back on thursday and went on and on about the backload of disability requests are and not having enough people to process ... and by going with a financial stress hardship request ... such as if I'm homeless (duh) .. it could take up to 2 years .. he's already figuring out that he's not going to make a haul on my case, so why rush it!

maybe I shouldn't listen to the doctors and just get a job - and keep getting worse, then keel over ... THEN the disability will get approved faster! LOL

what to do!! I'm so upset about it that I can't even think about it .. just struggle month to month ... whoop-tee-do ...

okay - better mood ... I changed my mind to be happy now! onward!!

its been 2 yrs for me and still not final answer although the paper I got reads like I am approved, although it doesn't say so, they want to meet and double check when i was disabled and if I have enough funds to initiate SSI, like I said it kinds of sounds like the first part is a given and now they need to set up the funds part, fingers cross find out near the end or beginning of next month

Hi! Jim is feeling better today. I am so glad we got the flu shot! This could have been worse. He's on the mend. Mucinex, cold mist humidifier, Tylenol and Vicks under the nose did the trick. Fingers are crossed. Sweeping floors and doing laundry today. Yippie!

Yay Lady Olivia!!!!!

Sandy sorry Jim has been yucky....I will call u later.

Everyone hi I hope you all are doing well, I have been taking a break, needed some time....still need time. I have recently had sisues with the ex over visitation....he thinks he doesn't have to follow the rules. That has resolved I think. My son is rebelling big time and is angry over the divorce and getting into trouble nothing major but something I have to take care of before it DOES become major. And one of my closest friends passed away suddenly and we buried him yesterday. soooo I have been a bit selfish and not been around much but trying to maintain some semblance of sanity. Hugs to you all!!!!!!
