The normal course in trying to remove one from office is to have the impeachment hearings and trial (in the senate) first. Criminal trials can take years, with all of the appeals, etc.

Wahoo! Three cheers for me. I stole a smilie and added it to my siggy line. (Hope you don't mind Frank.) I'm a PC dummy and still managed to get this right on my first try. Also added a reminder for myself.

Sandy- I've been able to talk privately so fears and safety have been addressed.

good afternoon everyone, well the drive there was one hell of a trip, all the dirt dust and salt thats sat on the road for weeks was lifted into the air by all the vehicles on the highway, because we got enough snow to make the dust dirt salt into MUD, people were pulled over pouring water on their windows filling their reservoir, and just trying to see out their windows my white van is BROWN, oh yeah and i am approved for disability guess its official, I am disabled, kind of mixed emotions about this. kind of finalizes everything, but life goes on

peace folks, thank you all for your support

Congrats? Frank...something you'd hoped for, but the implications are sad once the reality hits you...
Kay, those grades are awesome!! So glad your DD has come through her life trials and is strong...those that experience these types of trials make the best counselors, because they've been there...
Sandy, glad you've got hot water once again...
Barb, good luck with the injections...I use the small needle...the site reactions are lessening after almost 2 months...but still lots of bruises...
All you who are dealing with the nasty effects of this storm, stay safe, and hope it warms up soon for you
I have to take my MIL for a mammogram this afternoon. Why do they do these on 85 yr old women...if I was 85, I definitely wouldn't seek treatment if I had a lump...but I shouldn't judge. I just know that watching them decline makes me think I don't want to live to old age...
MyDS took my DH and I out to dinner last night to pay us back for letting him live with us since last Aug. I wasn't feeling very well, since I am still so upset with him about leaving his wife...yet I act like a nice mom with him...I don't want to alienate him...

Regarding Blago and the impeachment trial...I agree with you, Frank. When I listened to the tapes played on the news, it was unclear what Blago and his brother were discussing. Even though this isn't a criminal trial, and just cause is reason enough for conviction, I still don't think these tapes are enough proof.
But the fact that he went to Canada to get flu vaccines over the objection of the legislature, (and later the vaccines later had to be disposed of), was a blatent violation of checks and balances. He has done this often...free rides on buses for seniors, health care for indigent children, without a way of funding these programs...all the while going over the heads of our state Congress...now hospitals and docs aren't getting paid by the state for medicaid...our state is broke...because Blago wanted to be the people's champion and not raise taxes.
So even if these tapes don't really show illegal actions, he has done the people (who have elected him twice, as he reminds us) a grave disservice by ignoring the Congress, who have also been elected by the people and who directly represent the voters.
I will be interested to see, when the criminal trial begins, if Blago begins to squeal like a piggie in order to get a deal. If he does, there will be many more in trouble in Illinois...this is the most corrupt state in the US...and he knows a lot about how things work in the Land of Lincoln...

Struggled at work today, limping like too!! just so numblike, arm also is numb and pretty useless at work most of the time. So, I called neuro office and asked if he agrees with my primary on idea of using the prednisone, nurse said yes, if needed for my symptoms go for it.

although I started at 40mg and tapering down then, I just realized I took this first of January as well, not good to need so soon huh...

well I will talk to him about these things when see him Feb. 18th, about the prednisone, about work and struggling at times, and the results he will have from the evoked potentials!!

hugsss going to go take a nappy now that took the prednisone, and snuggle hubby and Maddie while napping!! hugssss, sarah

Frank Frank Frank, I know it's like a reality slap but in some way it's a blessing and one war you no longer have to fight. You were getting something from your work but to hear it from SS makes it so final so here's a for you. Now, tell us, are you getting SSI or SSDI? LOL

That would be SSDI which stands for Social Security Disability Income.

Default I Got A Raise!!

5.8% exactly! My SSDI increased by this amount because of "a rise in the cost of living" they said. Woo Hoo!!

Now....what to spend it on......
