The tumeric makes a very good addition to stocks/soups/stews.

I even put it in chili now. (not heavily, but some).

I use a flavorful curry...that contains tumeric.

It is very fragrant and makes the house smell wonderful. My husband loves it!

I'm glad I just read this. I'm making stew right now...I forgot about tumeric. :o

We are curry freaks. It's GrandMonkey's absolute favorite seasoning. He named his hamster Curry. ( Lil'Monkey's is Basil)

I can't wait until your yogurt is done Mel. I hadn't made any in years and years. I just might start making it again. YUM!

Don't forget either

the cardamom or cumin! YUM! Let's go out to the Indian Carry out NOW! Spinach w/either lamb, chicken or Indian curd [like tofu] is too good to pass up! EVER! - j

Melody, what are you using to make the yogurt? You using another yogurt as the starter or are you using a pre-packaged yogurt maker?

I will use some of my plain yogurt. Probably FAGE or some other plain yogurt. I've been watching videos on youtube about yogurt making.

I honestly don't know what I would do if it were not for youtube. I learned how to sprout, how to care for my organic seeds and stuff, how to bake sugar free stuff, and how to make home made yogurt.

So.....we shall see!!!

Oh, I did a taste test of my veggie patties. I told Alan, "you are going to pick the best topping". I took one of home-made veggie patties and put it into 3 parts.

One part I put Alan's usual favorite, ...a dash of honey and splenda". On another, I put a dash of chipotle seasoning, and yet on the third, I put some Ken's sodium free ginger and sesame dressing.

The clear winner was.....

Honey and splenda.

I wouldn't go near this with a ten foot pole, but Alan LOVES it.

So we shall see what Melody cooks up next!!

He has an infusion on Saturday. I love to cook up a storm when the IVIG nurse is here. She's my guinea pig.

So far, she's alive..AND HAPPY!!

LOL

Mel, have you seen the new Splenda packets? It has a 1gram of fiber. It has Benifiber in it.

I need to watch some of those sprout videos. Hubby and I were talking about trying our own sprouts again.

Hi. Let me tell you something. I don't need any splenda packets with any benefiber. I take regular benefiber 3 times a day.

I get up and go to my local breakfast place and I bring my two tsps of benefiber with me. I put it in my coffee. (that's the first dose). Has no taste and the coffee is wonderful.

Lunch time I have my sprout salad with some hard boiled egg whites and a half can of tuna. My beverage is one of those splenda crystal light things, and I put two tsps of benefiber in that. That's my second dose.

Supper time, I have my dinner and my beverage is same as lunch. There's my 3rd dose.

Between the benefiber and the foods that I eat, I DO NOT NEED ANY MORE FIBER.

I'm doing GOOD. THANK GOD!!!!

lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol
