OMG!!! Will they EVER stop talking about the Chief Justice and his mess-up of the words during the swearing in ceremony!? Every newscaster acts like they are the first to announce it! :rolleyes: I guess they just have to find something to talk about.....how about how we all have some hope for the first time in a very, very long time.

I thought our new president gave a very powerful speech. Every time I hear the man talk, I like him more.

Outfit
I had GMA on this A.M. and they had the designor of The First Lady's outfit on. Yes, it was much warmer than it looked. It had to be warm they said - well of course. It was lined with Pashmina which is a fine cashmere wool. (I looked it up). It comes from the Pashmina goat which is a special breed indigenous to the high altitudes of the Himalayas.
And then, as I said before, she had hand warmers as well. They also said that she wore arm warmers. +24 degrees is like heaven where I come from. And she is used to the cold as well. I can't take the cold like I used to but I'm sure she can. I liked the gown she chose for the balls that they attended. The designer of the gown was on as well. However, neither of the designers knew that their clothes were picked. They looked like a very snappy couple I thought. |

well I shall reiterate what I mentioned last night, I for one have not been this optimistic of an incoming president ever, I hope his confidence in his speeches and what ever he can implement to jump start the economy works wonders. I pray and hope this guy will be one of the best presidents we ever had, the kind of pres that will be added to history books right away

I grew up in South Africa with a dad of Dutch ancestry and so learned to speak the S African version of Dutch known as Afrikaans. I was always able to understand Dutch and Flemish and even a little German from this Even tho I have been resident in the USA for almost 20 years, so not using that language...it was a treat to be able to read and understand all of that on the page you posted:p alles van die beste en angename kennis!:hug: |
