I would have loved to be there. Of course, in my imagination, I am teleported ala Star Trek and seated where I can see everyone just like the television camera catches the images.

I heard on one of the cable news channels that there were no major incidences in the crowd despite the large number. If true, that is truly amazing.

The little boy who danced with Mrs Obama at one of the balls, was from the DFW area. She grabbed his hand and did a little boogey. Boy is his mother proud. I'll try and find a link to the news story. It was really cute.

I saw that Curious and it was adorable the way he looked at her and at Barack. He was so shy he couldn't take that grin off his face!

All the balls and galas that were televised were just beautiful.

Today they covered the story of Grandma moving into the White House with them....to give the girls some sense of normalcy and in case Michelle has to travel. Apparently Michelle and her mother are very close. I think it's wonderful that these two little girls are going to have the best of both worlds.....growing up in the White House and also having Grandma's lap to curl up in when they need comfort and Mom and Dad are not around.

They both seem like very "hands on" parents, though. What lucky girls!

And thanks to everyone here for keeping this a positive post and non-political.

I hope that the media stops looking for things to obsess about, and to attempt to try to tear the administration down...like the obsession with the bungling of the oath of office...today, the media is crying foul that the press wasn't allowed in to witness the redo yesterday...grow up, media!!
It seems as if this president has reinvigorated the masses...which we needed...now we'll see how the masses like the idea of sacrifice...that doesn't include me, does it?

Unfortunately, the media is always looking for the negative. And if they can't find it then they'll twist the truth until it makes a good story.
