Once during our winter, we get freezing temperatures at night. A cold day is in the 40's. We get that about 10 winter days per year. Tucson usually gets snow once a year, probably 1/2" and it melts that same day. Our winters are mild so when I saw the * Severe Winter Alert when the mid section and east of our country was dealing with REAL weather, I just had to make a comment. |

The pictures that they had on the news were beautiful. They also said that on one of the mountains in Tucson there was about 18" of snow.
The valley's in AZ don't get much snow but at higher elevations they can get a lot. It always amazes me that you can drive a couple of hours and go skiing and then come back home and go swimming in your pool. |
