lara, julie and i get this for a day or so every winter. we are in the dallas ft worth area. the roads and our high high over passes are really a mess. very dangerous. lots of accidents.

yeppers julie!!! big fat ones. :D

oooooo...jo....pretty!!

Curious 11-30-2006 04:44 PM

:( 800 homes without power so far.

Lara 11-30-2006 04:45 PM

I hope everyone keeps safe then. I can imagine how dangerous it would be.
We had some really weird unseasonal weather here in Australia a couple of weeks ago. The really sad thing was that all the farmers lost all their spring/summer crops. It was beautiful for a day but it was devastating to see it in areas where it shouldn't have been snowing and they lost all their crops.

I love these pictures!! And I have to say, that GrandMonkey sure is a cutie!!
Hi Lara, have you ever tried Texas Toast? It is delicious!! I make it everytime I fix spaghetti!!
Right now, we have about six inches of snow. It started snowing on Thanksgiving and has just kept adding little by little but it is suppose to warm up a few degrees and the snow is suppose to melt. We had the wettest November on record!! It was over fifteen inches!! Like it doesn't rain here in Washington State already!!
Anyways, just wanted to say "Hi" to everyone and wish you a pain free day!!

Take care,
Linda :)

LOL linda...i had a piece with my spaghetti for lunch! yum huh?

and yeppers...me thinks he is pretty darn cute too. even after he beened me with a little snow ball. :p

so do you have a row boat? yikes..that is a lot of rain.

Lara 11-30-2006 05:13 PM

Hi Linda.
Yes, I love the Texas Toast. :D
Wow, that's a lot of rain for there for sure. When I was there it rained every day but it was light rain. The big difference I found between our rain and your rain was that the moment it rains here all the outside workers pack up for the day and go home, whereas there, it was so light most of the time, that everyone just worked around in it. That was an eye-opener.
Winter of 98/99 in Washington state was wet, wet, wet.

Oh I love the pictures! We are waiting for the predicted 8 to 12 inches tonight. Of course we are prepared for it...snow plows, snow tires...yadda yadda. *whisper...is it spring yet?

Loved the grandmonkey too!

LOLOLOL, Michael made a snowball and put it in the freezer. He then pointed out that it is colder outside than it is in the freezer.

Hi Curious,

Yes, I just love that Texas Toast!! I wonder if they can buy it in Texas? :p
Yep, that little Grandmonkey diffenitly looks like a keeper!! ;)

Hi Lara,
Actually,we do have a little boat in the back yard but hope not to have to use it!! I can't swim!! You know, it's so weird, we had the hottest and dryest summer but boy are we making up for it!! There was alot of flooding a couple of weeks ago around here and some people lost their houses!! They should on the news of the houses just floating down the river!! I feel so sorry for those people!! Guess we don't realize how lucky we are sometimes!!

Talk to you guys later,
Linda :)
