Just checked it out at Macy's and yep, can't afford that. :p

Sandy, do you have dry skin?

The self tanners need a really good exfoliation before you use them.

I have oily skin, which means the dead skin cells don't flake off as easy, so I also do a really good exfoliation. I use the Jergans ( the new one) lightly about 2x a week. Never has streaked and gives just a healthy glow. I think if you use it more it will give more of a tan look.

I have very dry skin and I do all the prep. Mainly I streak in the back of the arms where I can't reach well.

You need to get one of your boys a very serious steady girlfriend that can do your arms. :D

Or I can send Lil'Monkey to you. She makes sure I'm not blotchy.

I bought some Jergen's this weekend.....all I could find was the Medium color so hopefully it won't turn me orange! I love the scent and I've used it two days in a row now. I even put some on my face.

I have one question, though. Do you wear latex gloves to apply it? If not, what do you do about the palms of your hands? I've just been wiping them off really well on a damp towel.

Sandy, I checked into the Clarin's, too, and it's a bit too pricy for me. I even looked for it on ebay but there were only two entries for it and it wasn't the cream.

I have about 10 tan towels left over from last year.....I generally use those for my arms and face. I'll see how the Jergen's does before I use them again.

I am really pale, naturally, so any kind I've used made me all funny looking. Then I tried this - mix a wee bit of tanner with some water in a spray bottle and mist myself. Repeat daily as needed.

:)

If I get a bit too dark someplace, I can scrub it with some apricot scrub and fix it right up, cuz it's not so dark it won't come off.

Another thing I have noticed, that since using fish oil supplements, I don't burn in the summer anymore. I used to fry even with high spf.

I put hand lotion on my palms first. Make sure it has really dried.

I have some Vasiline Intesive care that is water repelent. ( we had to use that with having a pool at the gym and one at home..thankfully don't have to mess with that anymore)

I wash my hands really good using a wash cloth when I'm done.

An easy not to abrasive scub for you hands is to use a tablespoon of sugar with some liquid soap.

Mary Kay makes a really great fake and bake. It's works gradually. A friend of mine sells it, and it's one of her top sellers. It's definitley important to exfoliate first.

Yes, exfoliating is very important. I buy the Buff Puffs and use them in the shower instead of a washcloth. Works like a charm!
