Okay I am pretty sure that I am not in the correct space for this question, but I will ask here anyway, and hopefully, someone will direct me to the right spot! Is there a place in Neuro Talk for singles looking for other singles? For some of us, it is never going to work trying to find that special someone amongst all of the "healthy" singles, as they would just NEVER understand even the smallest details of some of our illnesses, never mind things like chronic pain, side effects from drugs-like constipation from our opiates!-so it would be great if there was such a place! I am sure that I am not the only person who feels this way. I have found so many times that I have the guts to say/ask things everyone else wants to know, but do not have the same courage that I have! Is it courage, or just stupidity? Anyway, anyone know where there is a place like this to go to, please tell me. Thanks!

Hi Mary! There isn't a specific forum here just for those wanting to meet someone. But I have heard of people meeting on boards such as this and forming a relationship. I'm not sure what your specific medical issue is but if there's a forum here that applies to you that might be a starting point.
There might be dating services geared towards those with a disability....I'm not sure.....but you'd have to be careful just as you would with a regular dating service. Possibly more cautious since there are whackadoos out there looking to prey on those who are considered more vulnerable. It's hard enough trying to date and meet someone nice when everything is OK.....add a medical problem to the mix and it's twice as hard. Good luck to you, though.
