I BOUGHT ONE!!!!

I went to one of my local stores that sells appliances and there on the counter was a beauty. A SHARP compact microwave oven. Nice and compact, just what I wanted. They had it on sale for $109.00 reduced from $149.00

So I ask the girl. How do I get this and she shrugged and said "We don't have any". I said "Then why on earth are you displaying it". She shrugged again.

So I copied down make and model, went home, went online to all the online retailers that sold this model and I went to epinions.com and compared reviews and I bought it from Home Depot for .......$69.99.

But that's not all!!! I always check for Promotion codes before I GET ANYTHING ONLINE. Sure enough I found one.

Found a promotion code to save 10 percent.

So with shipping, handling and taxes I spent $84.00

Not bad!!!!

Thanks for all the good tips.

Mel

And May 5th is our 29th wedding anniversary. (at least I think it's our 29th, we got married on May 5th, 1980),

I told Alan, "We are getting a microwave for our anniversary". He said "we are??" I laughed.

Can't wait until it gets here. I've never owned a small one before. Always the bigger ones.

I'll tell all ofyou if it works OR NOT!!

Hey for $69.99 (plus the usual tax, shipping, etc.), it's a good deal. Especially when they were selling it for $109.00 near my house.

lol

Congratulations on getting the microwave you wanted and at such a good price, too!

A suggestion for sometime when you need something else is Overstock.com . I've been really impressed with them. I got my sewing machine real cheaply there and they only ever charge something like $3 shipping no matter how heavy the item you order is.

I COMPLETELY FORGOT ABOUT OVERSTOCK.COM

I would have gone their first. I have bought ALL my Visco Elastic Foam mattress toppers and pillows from Overstock.

I LOVE THEM.

My brain is going dead.

They have so many things that you can find almost anything there. I love them, too.

And I also love that we can shop online now. It's really hard to go out sometimes and for me, I also have a compromised immune system because of prednisone, so I don't like going out in crowds because of germs. I've been pretty hardy all my life, but as I'm getting older, I'm getting increasingly aware of germs.

Germs??? I hate germs?

And now they closed a school not too far away from my home (because of Swine Flu scares).

Good Lord.
