Many people were frightened by this airplane incident in NY. Allegedly, a photo op. That would be horrible judgment!

Many people say "no excuse."

Some say...it could be a cover up for possible worse behavior.

That is a VERY interesting/fascinating notion!

Recently, I read part of this weird book called Mental Floss...(can't remember the rest of the title). It talks about folks in world history with sordid/disturbing pasts. Things they did that most people are NOT aware of, behind closed doors, that would SHOCK YOU TO DEATH.

It is a positive that he fully and openly admitted that it was big mistake.

Do wonder if he took the fall for something WORSE. Hmmm

Maybe there a wayward/impuslive/difficult high ranking official in the ranks who went on a joy ride????

Am glad he said it was wrong...unbelievably wrong. Even a photo op as descrbed would show horrible lack of judgement.

It sure was, my niece was one of the evacuees when her building literally rattled from the jetwash. She was both terrified and infuriated by that idiotic stunt.

All the comment boards at the news sites are full of the same question that I had, it would have been better to the Nth degree if they had just photoshopped the dumb thing.

The one thing I can't get an answer for is WHO requested the photo in the first place, WHAT was/is this ultra-important photo to be used for, and HOW did it get down the fiscal pike so easily?

I want a picture of myself skydiving over the Swiss Alps so I think our poverty-stricken government should also pay for that photo op.

It was a stupid decision.....whoever made it. Not only was it fiscally irresponsible it was not a well thought-out idea at all. Who in their right mind would do something like that without telling the public first??? Especially in NYC of all places!!!

There's more to this than is being told......much more. With the way things are in our economy......for this to be a priority right now.....is just ludicrous. I'm not buying the explanation that it was just a photo op. No way, Jose. How gullible does our government think we are? Wait......don't answer that last question!!

It was an act of domestic terrorism and virtually everyone involved should be prosecuted for their role in it.

We definitely are not getting the whole story and I have a sick feeling that it was "a favor" to somebody's kid or something.

It was wrong in so many ways and I have written my rep demanding a full investigation and disclosure of the actual facts leading to this atrocity.

I got an automated form letter email, so I know they're on it.

I *really* want to caution on us having rumor or innuendo spread here

this was at the very least a very stoopid "photo op" and whoever is responsible for scaring people that way deserves reprimand etc.

but *please* lets not be a vector for spreading rumors or political negatives until the facts are known

I too would love to hear the "real" story but something tells me this guy will be gone, maybe not now, but soon and no one will know where he is. Think back woods, never to be seen again.

There are things that go on in the government that many are not aware of. That's all I'm saying about that.
