Haven't you met people like that before. I know I have and I feel sorry for then. I would rather have tried and failed rather than to not have tried at all.
Misery loves company, and unfortunately I have met several people named Misery.
This group is great, we vent, laugh, cry and pick ourselves right back up.
I thank God that I found all of you.

Since I work in a hospital I see that all to often, especially with our elderly.
All some of them really desire is some comfort care.
That is no longer an option for the nurses since they are so overworked as it is.
I have seen nurses cry because then did not have the time to just sit for a moment with a patient and do just what you said.
A kind word, a touch of the hand, even a reassuring smile can put them at ease.
You are so right, there is unbelievable power in the human touch.

WOW, I once had that quote printed out years ago and have long since forgotten it. Thank you, thank you for giving it back to me.

I find that is an excellent one to summerize our reason for existance and i absolutely love it!!!!!!!

But you know how the years pass and we move on or forget. I am so happy that you posted that.

I love them all and everyone has a message that speaks to all or especially to certain ones of use.

There are so many profound quotes out there and some of the best were written so long ago.

They must have known that we would need their keen insight in the future.

mrsd, I really got into reading Emerson about 10 years ago. Truly amazing.
I'm busy here trying to find this bookmark I have with one of my all time favourite passages on it. It's not Emerson, I think it's by that person Unknown. lol I'll post it when I either find it or remember it correctly.
