Hello everyone. I've been busy today and DS has been dominating the computer so I've finally come to catch up!

I'm still fairly aggravated about the car situation but it's his battle to fight.....and I'm going to let him fight it. It's his car....not mine. It's hard to just sit back and watch knowing that they're probably going to make a not so smart decision but he has to learn at some point and I don't have the resources to bail him out anymore. Plus, he's old enough to handle these situations on his own. At this point he makes more money than I do. :o

It's pretty warm here today but we're supposed to get some rain from whichever tropical storm is in the Atlantic now. I think it's Claudette but can't be certain. Just as long as it holds off till my storm door gets installed on Friday it can do whatever it wants to! :p

The news is all about Ted Kennedy today. It's so sad that he passed away but I hated to see him suffer. That family has had alot of tragedy.

Well, gotta go stir my spaghetti sauce. Ya'll have a nice day! :grouphug:

(((Deb))) I am so sorry, it is so hard to watch them not do well isn't it?

Trish, to you too. I am over the taking the kids to the dorms finally. I know how hard that is. Now I can't wait for them to get on their own. lol

screams at the top of her lungs

Okay. I feel a little better now. :o

I've had a business tax number for years. It is used so seldom that I file taxes twice a year. In the last 6 months I managed to forget some important information. I made a phone call the day my taxes were due and was told I'd get an email within 15 minutes. Days later it still isn't here. (Lousy weather, spotty internet, evenings/ weekends, no time to call again untill now) I tried unsuccessfully to make corrections online earlier this week but couldn't. On a whim I decided to try the online route again before placing a second phone call. What do you know! Everything worked as it should. :D The good news is I don't owe any money so I don't have to pay any late fees. The scary news is, this is my second late filing. Tax people terrify me.:o:eek:

Looks like someone higher up the totem pole needs to lock up this thread and load a new one. I think we have reached our page limit. Kitty? Anyone?

It is easier for me as she is only 6 miles from the house whereas your boys were much farther. Also, as I have told her many times, I know what it is like to live in the dorm and remember how much I enjoyed it. However, I had a good roommate. DD18's roomie is a little, um, um, rigid. DD18's roommate set up rules right away - her rules:rolleyes:, keeps the blinds & door closed at all times, doesn't want anyone in their room, you have to ask to touch anything of hers and call it by its correct name (her computers name is Felix and you have ask to use Felix not her computer) etc. DD18 is far more social and less rigid than her roommate appears to be and is struggling with some of her odd behavior.

She loves the other girls on her floor and they all get along well, so far. They decorated her door for her birthday as a morning surprise for her. So, so, sweet. They all decided to eat together every Monday and set up a time each week to hang out in the game room. But, DD18's roommate does not participate or socialize with anyone on the floor and/or dorm.

I think she can request to move to another room if there is one available. It may take time but she can try. She's a better person than me because I'd probably be arguing with my roomie if that happened to me. I get the compromise thing but that girl seems a bit over the top. LOL

Debbie sorry about MIL, that is hard.. my father is listed as early demetia... I personally think though it is from the chemo drugs.. if it had done what it did to his body so bad, you gotta think it could do that to the brain cells....

hugss all

TK, I was thinking that, give hubby my job and me stay home...although then we need two incomes... so for a bit we will do the unemployment and my income.. then soon enough him find a job.... but I would love to be home and him work...only hehe

Although he is not the work with food type of person....

oh well, worked today, changing around some managers soon... one of my great ones is being transferred to my old store... was not happy when owner decided this... and then one shift manager from there is coming my way.

then I have another manager gave notice, so working on deciding on who will become a manager in few weeks here.....fun fun

well gotta run, I might take a walk or do some yoga.. hugss, sarah
