Thanks for the reminder. I did buy a bunch last month knowing I would probably forget to buy them this month.

went to buy stamps on Friday and the nice clerk told me its best to wait till monday. I got 3 forever stamps to make the bills I had in my hand, and will go out today to get my new roll.

its EXPENSIVE to mail a letter! The post office is now saying they are going to need financial help in order to stay afloat or not close on Saturdays to save money.

I just think its crazy when it costs me $8 to mail a $2 box of chocolate.

I'm going to look up the news story that was on this weekend. It was outragious. The post office has paid a million dollars to buy employees homes that have relocated. Some were lateral moves and not ones that the post office initiated, but ones that the employees asked to be moved.

Sorry folks..but I think my emailing letters is going to increase.

But today the forever stamps will cost you 44 cents. That's the same as the regular first class stamps. I was going to buy some forever stamps on Saturday @ 42 cents and I was too late. The Post Office desk was already closed. So that ended that. Wish I would have bought some last week

My DD and I bought forever stamps a few weeks ago to put on her wedding invitations...but we had to buy the increased postcard stamps for the replies, because they wouldn't be coming back until this week...still and all, I had to buy 17 cent stamps, because the invitations weighed more than the forever stamp paid for...grrrr.
My DH and I pay most bills electronically now...USPS is becoming a dinosaur, used more for junk mail than anything...
