Thanks for sharing.

It is so true, they are under-appreciated , underpaid and it takes a very special person to become a police officer.

Thumbs Up

How true thanks for sharing.
I am a retired officer, a Police Chief....
For women in Law enforcement you had to work twice as hard and got half the recognition.

I was always rewarded when my family, employers and even out of state law enforcement told me someone told them of what a special person I was and police officer.

I was 32 before I went through the police academy......I rocked though.

Always keep your credibility, never put it on the line, and yes act without thinking.....Just like a MOM.
Blessings to your son, he sounds like what real men are made of to care to protect and serve in these times.

Wow, I'm so impressed that you took on the Academy at 32! Some much younger men don't even make it through! We watched a video of parts of the Academy at my son's graduation and, even though parts of it were funny, I know how difficult it was to complete. I wouldn't have made it one day.

He loves what he does.....he's never wanted to do anything but this. I will always worry. It just comes with being a Mom. But he is well trained and I know he has the upper hand when it comes to dealing with the "less intelligent" criminal mind!
