Default Come on up on the porch...

Well just howdo this fine afternoon, its good to see you stopping in to sit a spell. Oh, I’m doin right as rain on dry dirt I reckon. What did you say? Oh, you need some advice, well guess I can give you my opinion, don’t mean ya gotta take it however. Hmmm, that is some kinda choice ya gotta make. Sho nuff glad it ain’t me!! Choices are always jest waiting to be picked, kinda like weeds out a garden.
We pull this weed and sho nuff it seems two more come up, choices are like that.

We have those easy decisions like what we gonna cook for dinner or which clothes to wear. Sometimes we are faced with choices that are gonna make a difference for the folks around us. We know which choice is good for us, but then is it the best for other folk its gonna have once its made. Life sho would be easier if we could just make decisions and everybody would be alright no matter which ones we make. Oh, glory be Mr Hershell, no body ever said it was easy, just part of life. The trick is to not over think on it, figure out which things are good, and which are bad and decide.

Sometimes no matter how we decide some folks are still not gonna be alright with the choice one makes. Oh yeah, there are always those questions, Do I do what is right for me or do I make the other and do what is right for family or whatever. You do know that sometimes, you just gotta do what’s right for yerself. I don’t know of anyplace where its written that a soul has to sacrifice their whole long life to just so another life can be easier. Well, a body can take care of their kids all their life, but what’s gonna happen when that person is no longer on this good green earth? That’s one choice that parent’s have to make.

Ya know my cousin LeBob? He been on drugs long as I can remember, bout drove his folks crazy, even tried to set the house on fire. They tried all they could to help that boy, finally, they just made him move out and not come back. Yep, it sho was a harsh thing to do, but that boy finally got himself together. He got a good wife and two fine kids. I know it don’t always turn out that way, but it was a choice his folks made to sink or swim so to speak. His folks worried themselves to tizzies worrin over that boy, wondering ifn they made a good choice.

Choices are things we make everyday, good ones and bad ones…but sooner or later we don’t have a choice left, we gotta come to an understanding and there you have it…gotta make a choice, good or bad.
Well, Mr. Hershell, hope it helped ya some, I’m sure you’ll make a good choice. I see Mrs Hershell coming up the drive, she looks mighty spry to be eighty five, I sho do like those banana cream pies she bakes. Howdo Mrs Hershell, you sho lookin mighty fine today, come on up and sit a spell. I got a fresh pot of coffee and some muffins screamin to get out the oven!

Momma.
So glad to YOU. jmiller must smell you and it brings him out (where ever he was - he was no Mr. Nice Guy - Lord knows what he was up to - Probably at that Duct-Tape Festival he was talking about wanting to go to. Bet he learned some new tricks. I guess where ever he moved to, he brought his stuff. Maybe he's somewhere "special" now.Can I just sit and rest awhile with you?
