Well, I just complete (week one of my new job. I'm training as a QC (Quality Control inspector) for a RV manufacturer. Its something new to me (the production environment) although I have done some inspection type work at the dealership I used to work for. So far things seem to be going ok, but they usually do at first (what I call the honeymoon period, when everyone is impressed with me then after a month or two that wears off and they start to realize there is something "not quite right with this girl"). Then its all downhill from there.
Right now I'm just focusing on learning the product lines and specific damage that I'm allowed to look for.. Its a bit challenging, but I'm determined to try my best..

Hi Vodpop,

I don't know why, but for some reason I thought you were male, not female. Hmmmm

I hope this job works out for you !

Congratulations, I wish you all th best. I hope to get out there again myself. Unfortunately during my disability process my employeer of 18 years left to go overseas. So when I do go back to work I will either have to get retrained or do a low paying job. So right now the disability money is good. But I get tired of sitting all day and having people ask what are you doing now. And when I tell them they look at me like my head is spinning around on my head.

Default My sympathies and don't give up

I'm so sorry you got denied. Your chance for a positive outcome of your appeal is slim. 86% of reconsiderations are denied. Depending on how detailed your first application was you could file yourslef with a great deal more detail and medical records. The reconsideration is based on new information since the date of your application or anything that wasn't included. I would contact the Socials Security Administration and ask for a copy of your file. It will have more information about why you were denied than your denial letter.
If you get an attorney thoroughly vet them, know their rate of success at each appeal level.
