Default Not So frustrated

Thank you all for your input. It made me feel not so alone. The hug was GREAT! Yes I have appealed and also filed a new claim. I keep hearing the word "offset" in my bizarre conversations with the SS represenative .I am going to do some more research as he won't explain in a jargon that I can understand.I called the state of Idaho where my daughter lives last week and the nice woman I spoke with said that my claim was in the payment center in Richmond Calif. Hopefully this means that it's in the process . Happy Mothers Day to you all.

Almost a year after receiving a Fully Favorable decision, I finally contacted Barbara Boxer's office, and their office wrote a letter on my behalf, so a supervisor then helped expedite things. If you can get a supervisor at your local office to help you, you can take out of that extra step, because it adds a few weeks extra time.

Good luck.

The local office does the computation. The payment center inputs it and releases the retroactive benefits due after offset.

Welcome to the site, I would do what others have said and call your local office: I think this is the answer you were looking for. Click on the link for more info.
