Default Someone please help me with ss backpay question

My Husband received Ohio Workers Compensation from 2003 through 2006 with receiving a lump sum settlement in 2006 of $30K. He applied for Social Security Disability in 2008 and was just awarded in June 2010. Social Security is going to pay him back to 2007 for the backpay. Will he have to re-pay Workers Compensation back the money they paid him? (Even though he settled a while before applying for SS) We are racking our brains trying to figure this all out so any help would be GREATLY appreciated!! Thanks sooo much!!

Update...went to local ss office and provided birth certificates again. Rep there said her manager was going to send request to manager at the payment center to have kid's backpay processed since it has fallen outside the 90 day deadline. So hopefully shouldnt be much longer..keeping my fingers crossed.

Cblue, I hope you feeling better and surgery helps. Sorry about your loss.
Angels in Heaven.
Colbeymoore, I know what you mean having to turn in paperwork again. I did it once already last week, this was for my oldest D's backpay.

Last week-end, I got my Medi-care card, on it it says I have part A since 2009 and part B since August 2010. I called the 800# to ask if this was my secondary insurance, they said yes. They didn't know I had insurance through my hubby's work, gave them insurance info.
I still havn't recieved any notices re: Benefit letter, Medicare information.
I'm thinking I will get them when I recieve my first monthly benefit next week, hopefully it comes with my backpay too.

Have a nice day.

Hi, I was told I would recieve my benefit check on the 1st of month, but I recieved it on the 3rd by mail, along with my kids each seprelatly(sorry brain fog sp). The check came with instructions about setting up direct deposit, I thought I already had but set it up with the lady by phone.

Yesterday, I recieved the $250.00 stimulus payment from 2009. I totally was not expecting that, it was a nice surprise. I hope this means my backpay will be coming too.

The one thing I dont understand is that my adult d, hasn't got her portion of backpay due to she was a minor when I applied in 2006. Last week, I called local SSD office, was told they are deciding if they're going to pay her and that the Family max. for dependant was paid out on my other two minors backpay. The backpay for them was under 1,400 each, if they decided to pay my oldest D,this was cause an overpayment, which I would have to pay back. I then of course said, "I don't want that to happen".
I did request a letter be sent to my D explaining why she won't recieve any, she hasn't got anything.
Does anyone know of this happening before?.

Thanks

Update..Aaagh need to vent..this is ridiculous just called national number and now agent said the birth certificates were not entered into the system until 8/20
then on 9/10 a manager again called the payment to see the hold up?
Very frustrated every time I call I get a different story. Told me I would get a letter first then monthly benefit check then backpay. I told her I received my backpay, then a letter, then a monthly benefit check. I told her all this waiting after it being at the payment center since June I thought was for a backpay check she said oh no you are waiting for the award letter???? I am so confused and frustrated right now. Anyone know what is the payment center purpose do they not issue the checks from there?
