Default Social Security contacting spouse

I applied for ssdi August 1st and all of my medical records have been in for a couple months now. Online it says a decision has not been made and they are still processing the medical portion of my claim. But I had a voicemail today and someone from social security is asking my husband to call him back. Is this normal? I am not sure why he would talk to my husband and not me. Thanks for any input.

Normal. Have they had him fill out the paperwork about your daily activities yet?

I don't remember how far into the process that happened. But you provided names and numbers of people SS could contact with initial application, so this is Nothing to stress over. The fact that they're bothering is maybe even a good sign...

My husband called and he just asked questions about things that I put on my initial application. He also asked him for examples of the problems I was having. My husband is not the best at communicating so we will see what happens I am not getting too stressed about it I was lucky enough to approved through my long term disability provider for 24 months. But I will be happy when everything is done!
