When you get a "Fully Favorable Letter" from SS as you are aware you have won the right to your money it's your money. Any back pay you receive or money for any minor children plus there back pay is to use as you see fit. It's money that you could not earn due to your disability, it yours. As for me I had a to catch up on many obligations, I have 1 in college and 1 in high school that can clean you out alone and yes I did buy myself and hubby a new labtop. I just have to make a comment when I was going through this process there was not all this questioning of what was going to happen next my case worker at SS worked closely with me and my attorney handled the rest that's what he's paid for. I have heard of people getting there money prior to your "fully favorable letter". I quess I just don't understand all the differences from state to state when it's a federal program we are receiving. I mean it took time but went in a order which was logical. Congratulations a great Thanksgiving for you. gabbycakes |
