Hi all-

Well, I am shocked.

I applied July of 2010. I had my doctor review in December of 2010. I checked my status on-line yesterday and was told my claim was still being processed. Today I checked my checking account and was shocked to see money coming in from Social Security. Now my on-line status says a decision has been made and I will receive my notification in the mail soon. Well, my choice to go for auto-deposit during my phone interview gave me notification early. This is an enormous weight off of my mind. . .

Good luck to others still in the process. All I can say is that you should provide all the documentation that you can get your hands on related to your issues when you apply, even if you do not think they are important.

I was just telling someone on another thread that sometimes you get the money before you get a phone call or anything. I hope things run smoothly for you from here on.

I'm happy that you have this hurdle behind you.....I know what a relief that can be.

Well good for you rbwalton! Thats pretty much what happend with my case. I applied in Sept 09, had a mental and physical exam in January 2010 and found a rather large chunk of cash in my checking account about a month later. It could not have come at a better time as we (the wife and I) had depleted our savings.

Still sorting things out. Just got the initial notification of meeting medical requirements. Even living with the conditions on daily basis, it still seems odd to see them in printed form like that. Still no official notification related to meeting the non-medical requirements, but since money is in the bank, it all must have come out OK. They definitely looked into all my submitted history- even the stuff I forgot to mention in my official social security appointed doctor review.
