Thanks for writing Miss Christmas and Don-No he is not a veteran he is 55 years old. We live in Tennessee,

The lawyer said it could take 6-9 months- well we will keep struggling what choice do we have- And for ssdi to say they know he can't do his previous work -Just gets me!!! He has a massive blood clot in his leg he has to keep it elevated to keep the swelling down-He can't travel- So what kind of job do they think he can do???

Unreal!! Bless you all I pray each one of you never have to go through all this bs-cause thats exactly what it is BS

Default Hello

Don't stop trying. I know don on this site also. There are alot of us having trouble with SSD. Keep all your medical records and tests. Did your doctors write a letter stating you are disabled? I saw that you had records but no mention of letters. It is usually a combination of things that grants the SSD. I did have legal assistance as I was turned down several times before I was granted my hearing. It was the hearing that I could present myself, that led to me getting my medicare card. I have recently had trouble with SSD and went back to that same legal aid person for help. I hope things work out for you. ginnie

Getting a copy of all your records and doctors notes is important as stated. I just had to sign a release. I also did this with all hospital records and exams such as MRI. SS once they have your records, usually do not return them. I do keep a log as well of all symptoms that worsen etc. I already have medicare/medicade, but there have been issues that have popped up that made me glad I kept good records. Good luck to you. ginnie

If so,get checked for arthritis. I just found out I have moderate carpal tunnel in both arms. Even though the blue book doesn't have a listing for carpal tunnel, you still can get disabled with it if you have a repetitive hand type job.
I was denied the first time around, and also at the first hearing. I don't know yet how the reconsideration hearing went, but i'm keeping my fingers crossed. My attorney thinks it went well since the judge didn't ask the voc expert any questions and stopped the testimony early. But what I wanted to say to you is 2 things: first that there's probably a different judge the 2nd time around, and also that if they make you go to their dr, their dr is NOT on your side. He's got a full waiting room of people he's going to deny, because that is how he's making his money. You are allowed to videotape your visit there and use it later to show that not much was done at that visit (not much will be). Have someone come with you and video the entire visit. Also, if you are disabled, just keep at it and eventually at some level you should win your case. The important thing is to have medical records to back up your symptoms and testimony.

We just hired an attorney and he said he has to send to ssdi for records and yes he signed a release. So we will hang in as long as we can he can't work that is not even a option. They sent him to 2 doctors and both said if he gets denied to hire an attorney.

Thanks for answering and God Bless you all
