Default Denied. Need to appeal and find a Dr

I appled to SSDI and have been denied. Apparently they will not take any records from Chiropractors which is what alot of my treatment has been over the last 2-3 years.According to the chiro I've seen my problems definetly fit one of the SSA listings.
I did go to a neurologist (not a surgeon) late last year but other then tell me about other cases he's had he seemed disinterested to say the least in my problems. He did do an emg which verified the nerve root compression at c-7 but other then give me some pills and said if they don't work surgery would be the next step. They didn't work and I'm not ready to do surgery so haven't persued that.
So now I was told I need to appeal but to get a primary physician.
I did have a regular Dr when all these problems started 3 years ago but they didn't even review his records according to the denial letter.
I don't even know where to begin on trying to find a regular Dr and what to say to him to know whether he would support a SSDI claim. I guess some Dr don't.
Any suggestions?

Check your local Yellow Pages.

Let the doctor (General Practitioner=GP) know immediately that you have filed for SSDI & denied. If the doctor is not sympathetic, find another.

Good luck!

Just curious. Have you been working during this 3 year period. Reason I am asking is if you are then you probably will not get SSDI. Also do you have enough work credits if you haven't been working in the past few years.
