The rules to find a person eligible for SSDI become easier at ages 50 and 55.

If you'd be open to utilizing the services of a Voc Rehab Center, they might be able to match you with some type of part-time employment, or if they are not, you'd have new documentation of the results of their testing, detailed work restrictions, etc.

If you CAN"T work, you can't work.....that's why LL suggeested meeting with a voc rehab specialist. You tell them what you CAN do and they will write up whether or not there exists anywhere a job that you COULD do. If they are not ANY jobs that you can do, having that documentation from the voc rehab should help with your ssdi claim.

A more common issue with ssdi denials is not having the medical documentation that proves why your condition(s) make you unable to perform SGA. Did your lawyer ever give you any indication about whether he thought your medical documentation was thorough enough ?

I'm sorry but I don't know anything about proceeding beyond the ALJ level and what is involved with that.

I hope that you are able to get the help that you need.

Zevan, I do have a potential referral for you, but I'm not able to pm you anymore.

If you choose to longer accept PMs that's fine, but if you would like it, just send me another msg.

Default Hi

Did something happen with my computer or yours & that is why you can't PM me anymore? I hope I didn't hit some button preventing it. Let me know if that is the case. I still very much would like a referral. It sure can't hurt at this point. Thank you for all your help. I can't figure out what happened.

Question

I checked Zevan's account and see the "receive PM's" feature activated so there should not be any problem receiving PMs?

Zevan, if you no longer have copies of checks paid to the doc in question, you can get a copy from your bank (it sounded as if you've written him a check within the past 7 years.)
