Don't pay a cent to collection agencies. It's like throwing chum to sharks. Is it phone calls that are bothering you? Please pm me if you need some help dealing with this. This might be an example of getting help from your mom or a non profit legal center would be appropriate. I can't imagine a scenario where bankruptcy would make sense in your situation. You have rights, you just have to force the CAs to respect them.
