Default Newbie Here. ALJ Hearing In January

Hello, will try to make this as short as possible.
I am 25 will be 26 in August. I have had some health issues throughout life and they are getting worse around 22. I have been diagnosed with: a rare genetic connective tissue disorder called Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome(I have classical type I), Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome which cause my heart rate to high while sitting, standing, walking also cause fainting. I have ddd in L-1 through S-5, scoilosis, mild lumbar spine narrowing, and disc displacement in my lumbar and thoratic spine. Sleep apnea, insomnia, TMJ,GERD, Edema, High blood pressure, Fibromyalgia, Hiatal hernia, IBS, and intersital cysitsis(bladder issues) I think that's all...lol. I have tons of medical records but I was denied twice. After waiting a year and a half I finally got my court date on January 28th. I am excited yet very nervous. I know my age will be used against me and Mississippi is one of the hardest states to get approved in. Any information would be appreciated.

Default Season greetings!

Are you going to be represented by an attorney at your ALJ hearing? What does the atty have to say about your chances considering your "condition?"

If you have copies of your medical records, read the doctors notes to see what your treating physicians have to say about your disabilities. Your age is a draw back however, your disabilities may override that.

Strongly suggest that you read the stickies at the top of this site:
Don't start your claim unprepared!!!

GOOD LUCK!!!

Yes, I will be represented by a local attorney that specializes in ssi disability
He believes that I have a good chance of being approved because of my many impairments and the various symptoms that go with them. Also the meds and their side effects.
I see five different specialist and I have all my medial records from them. Will the judge look up a little information on my rare illness or should I bring information about it
I have read those and I did find those post to very useful. Thanks!

when you go to your hearing what you must get accross is how these conditions or illnesses limit your ability to work. reciting a list of conditions is not going to achieve what you need to achieve. that may be why your application was turned down 2x in the first place. you must state what you are limited in doing, sitting, standing, bending, kneeling, walking, climbing, carrying etc. also the effects of medication and pain itself that limit you such as lack of concentration, which causes problems such as not understanding instructions for example or forgetting to do things, fatigue, dizzyness whatever the case is. the way that your conditions affect your ability to work is what they are looking to find out. look the judge right in the eye while you are answering his/her questions. stay on topic with your answers and answer the question asked.
dont get too dressed up or too much makeup. look the way you do on a normal day for you.

good luck. dont worry about being a little nervous, everybody is.
