Default SS disability backpay

I had my hearing on Feb 6th of 2013. I recieved news over the phone the following Friday that I was approved. Got all my letters telling me how much back pay and monthly pay I was getting. I went and filed to put my daughter on my claim two weeks ago got her back pay within a week and still haven't recieved mine?? THey told me that I would get mine before her's because I had just signed her up? And of course I have been to the main office in my area, called several times and nooone can give me any answers very frustrated at this pt.....get my first ss check in a week. Can anyone help or give me the reason for this?

Thank you

I would check that the account on record for direct deposit was entered into Social Security's computer correctly. Bring a voided check to your local office if you're able just in case.

With a very LARGE amount of backpay, they can need to have a higher up sign off before funds are distributed.

If you go into the local office, they can check if they had the correct account info.

You can always ask for a supervisor, even on the phone, at your local office. If you have a dire need, then let them know.

Should ask if there is an SSI windfall offset hold on your SSDI back pay. It can happen even if SSI is never paid.
