Default LTD not requiring me to appeal ALJ decision?

Just finding this a little confusing. My LTD co. requried me to apply and go thru the appeals processes including with a ALJ. I was denied each time.

No they say it's up to me to appeal further or not. They've never left anything up to me. should i be concerned?

thx

I guess i'm going to go ahead and appeal it. I only have a week left. There are some statements in the decision that are not accurate, as well as statements questioning my credability.

I feel like if i don't appeal it then they'll think i'm in agreement with what it says.

I would wonder if there could be any future negative repurcussians if you didn't follow through with the appeal......ie, Could they say....."Well, if the federal government doesn't think diaba is totally disabled, neither do we" ?.....or, Is there a cap on how long that you can collect LTD benefits ? For me on WC in Mass, they only cover lost wages with bi weekly checks for a max of 7 years. Do you have other health insurance or could you really use the MC coverage ?

I don't know anyone who's been in your exact situation and I don't know the legalities of it.

I'm betting it's difficult to get motivated to go "another round" with SSDI again. I'm not a fan of adding more stress to what I'm already dealing with, but I would be very concerned about dropping this and not pushing forward with SSDI.

Did you have a lawyer ? I'd ask for guidance from him/her.
