Default ssd payment center

Does anyone know if I can call the payment center? I went to the local office and all they said is I have to give it 60 days, however they never took any information regarding direct deposit or anything I think it is because when I applied it was not into effect yet. I just want to make sure not having bank information will not hold up my payments. I had an attorney who once I won said they are finished representing me and no longer help with anything, just asking for advice if anyone has any thanks. Got my letter april 15th, judge fully favorable April 8th if that helps. Have 5 sons and am behind on all bills so I really need my payments.

Default Hi samp

since you already got your favorable hearing. I don't think it is wrong to give the payment center a call. I knew of one other that did this, and they were given the information. Good luck to you and your boys. ginnie

I highly doubt anyone from the payment center will speak to you. I even found a direct extension and name for someone there, and I was blown off.

You need to bring a voided check into your local office. It will delay things if you don't.

You need to give them 60 days after dropping it before trying to expedite things unless you're in danger of eviction, or another major hardship. You can ask for a Supervisor at your local office if a regular representative can't give you adequate info.

Eviction notice, or letters demanding payment, and utility delinquency.

Everything is stalled until you provide account info, so you maybe would have already been paid. SS no longer mails checks, as has been posted before. Whether or not your backpay has already been determined???

You can also use a savings account, just get the routing and acccount numbers.

When I called the 800 number and told them they did not ask me for my account information they said don't worry they would either send me a check or the debit card, do you think I should just go to the local office and give them this information? Are they allowed to mail a check if there is no bank information to let the person a chance to provide it?

As was previously stated, SS no longer sends checks. You will either need to set up a bank account and/or get a debit card.
No more paper Social Security checks

Yes.

They gave you bad info.

You'd have to sign up for the debit and if your backpay is more than 10k they can't deposit. A regular account is a much better idea.
